Extended Holiday Returns Promise

Buy your gifts and other items this holiday with the peace-of-mind of easy returns. Almost every purchase made throughout November and December can be returned through January 15, 2017.

Purchases made between Oct. 30 — Dec. 31, 2016 have an extended return period through January 15, 2017, excluding items purchased with a third-party contract (ex. Mobile Phone carrier contracts, AppleCare monthly plans, DirecTV, etc.). All other terms and conditions of our Return & Exchange Promise apply.

My Best Buy Elite and Elite Plus members have an extended holiday return/exchange window. Elite members have through January 30, 2017 to return or exchange products purchased between October 30 and December 31, 2016, while Elite Plus members can return or exchange purchases made in that timeframe through February 14, 2017. Previously mentioned exclusions apply.

Time period begins the day you receive your product and applies to new, clearance, open-box, refurbished and pre-owned products.

How to Return an Item

Gather the purchases you want to return, along with the original contents and packaging.

Return in Store

You may return any item purchased on at any Best Buy store. For faster return processing, please bring your receipt or packing slip, the credit card used to make your purchase, and a valid photo ID.

Find a store

Return by Mail via the Carrier of Your Choice

Place the Return Form portion of your packing slip in the box with your return. If you do not have your packing slip, you may get a pre-populated Return Form by looking up your order. If you can't locate your order, print a blank Return Form and fill it out. Then, place the completed form in the box with your return. Put the return label on the package, add postage and mail it via the carrier of your choice.

Use Our Prepaid Return Label

Pay nothing up front. Follow the instructions for printing a Prepaid Return Label. Include the packing slip or Return Form in the box with your return. Put the prepaid return label on the package and take it to an authorized UPS drop-off location. The return shipping fee may be deducted from your refund.

Refund Method

With a few exceptions, we will reimburse you for returned items in the same way you paid for them. If you prefer, you can make an exchange for the same item. If you paid more than $800 in cash or more than $250 by check or by a debit card without a major credit card logo, we will refund you by check within 10 business days. Any amounts deducted from a gift card will be credited to the gift card. If you no longer have the gift card used for an order, please call us at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289) with your order number handy, and we'll be happy to send you a replacement.
