Choose Your Return Method

All purchases made from Best Buy — online or in store — can be returned to any Best Buy store in the U.S. It's fast and free.

Return in Store

Step 1

Gather your purchased item(s) with all contents and product packaging.

If you don't have all the packaging and accessories, a deduction might be made from your refund.

Step 2

Grab your receipt.

If you don't have a receipt, you will need to bring the credit card used to purchase the item or a valid photo ID.

Step 3

Make your return at any Best Buy store in the U.S., free of charge.

Return by Mail

Step 1

Pack up your purchased item(s) with all contents and product packaging.

If you don't have all the packaging and accessories, a deduction might be made from your refund.

Step 2

Place packing slip or merchandise return form in package.

Step 3

Purchase postage, put return label on the package, and ship to the Best Buy Return Center.

For proof of delivery, we recommend that you return items via UPS or insured USPS.

Refund Method

With a few exceptions, we will reimburse you for returned items in the same way you paid for them. If you prefer, you can make an exchange for the same item. If you paid more than $800 in cash or more than $250 by check or by a debit card without a major credit card logo, we will refund you by check within 10 business days. Any amounts deducted from a gift card will be credited to the gift card. If you no longer have the gift card used for an order, please call us at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289) with your order number handy, and we'll be happy to send you a replacement.
