Overview

Synopsis

Homeland
A love affair between a Jew and a Palestinian brings the conflict in the Middle East to downtown Manhattan. Kobi Zucker (Max Rhyser) has just finished his tour of duty in the Israeli Defense Forces, and he's in desperate need of some R and R. He's on his way to South America when he stops in New York City to raise some money for his trip. There, amidst all the hustle and bustle of the big city, Kobi meets Leila (Yifat Sharabi), a gorgeous Palestinian who lost her brother in the Intifada, and fled to New York from the West Bank. Incredibly, Kobi and Leila find the strength to put aside their differences and find true happiness together. All of that begins to change, however, when Leila's other brother Ghazi grows increasingly disillusioned with America, and succumbs to the spell of radical Islam. Now, the closer Leila gets to Kobi, the more convinced Ghazi becomes that his sister is abandoning her Muslim roots and dishonoring their family. Will true love prove powerful enough to pave the way to reconciliation, or are these ancient wounds simply too deep and tender to offer any hope for real peace? ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
