This vac is awesome. Not only is it bagless but is incredibly easy to empty after each use!. It also has a less clunky design at the front that lets you get a little closer and even under some furniture a little more. I like the on/off feature of the brush at the base, so if you are vacuuming a wood floor you don't have to worry about scratching the surface. It does have a powerful suction, so on small area rugs it will tend to get stuck.
There is one down side. The attached stair and furniture cleaning wand has a brush but no additional extender tubes. So even though its got a long hose, it's still tends to drag the vacuum and tip it over as you try to extend to high or out-of-reach areas. I have not researched to see if there is an extension available. But that would make this vac a perfect purchase.

Super suction power

I have a smaller version of this vacuum for an area rug in my basement so I knew this would be good. This vacuum has such strong suction power that it will pick up any dust or dirt you didn't know was in your rug! The best part is the option to turn off the bristles and go to hardwood floors. Great suction from the hose as well. I'm buying another to keep on my 2nd floor. I cannot believe what it pulled out of my rugs that I vacuum weekly. And the cord that you plug in is nice and long. You can cover a large room without moving from one plug to another. Yay Hoover!

Good price and good suction! Beats Dyson Any Day
Posted by: genericnowlin from: Southgate, MI on
I owned both this one and the last version. I had to give away my older version, Windtunnel Air Upright (Which I also thought was good) for this one. In this version, they have a new "Steerable" thing and it works well.
You can turn far better than the earlier versions. I would recommend. Compared to Dyson, which break easily. I love these because they tend to be very stable. There are better vacuums but they tend to be 300 + which is not worth it to me.
1) Easy to change from vacuum to hand tools
2) Good reach using hand tools
3) No Bags
1) Only 2 hand tools : cr evise and brush but located on one attachment
2) OK for wood floors but they got rid of the tool that used to do this
3) It really should have a hardwood floor attachment but it vacuums my kitchen just fine

This thing works great. I have two dogs and vacuum at the least every other day. I had a Hoover before so I kept the old attachments to use for this one. The only bad thing about this one so far is the lack of extra attachments. I believe there is a pricier model that includes the attachments and a larger canister. Suction is very strong so I advise to be careful on loose carpet and rugs. The two filters really helps. There is a washable filter at the top and a HEPA filter at the bottom which is not washable. The light weight really makes it easy to get around the house.

Our last vacuum was a Hoover that lasted 9 years. We were looking at a Dyson and weren't convinced based on the reviews that we wanted to spend the money on it. This Hoover was on sale and we looked at the reviews and based on our prior experience, we decided to buy it.
It is easy to clean out and has a high amount of suction. I'm amazed each time how much the vacuum is pulling out of the carpets. It is a light vacuum, in my opinion, and I love the fact that I can turn the beater bar off if needed. I also like the fact that there is a second point of attachment for the hose if I am using only the hose. We've had the vacuum for 2-3 months and have been very pleased. I would certainly recommend this vacuum!

Great vacuum for any surface

The reason I love this vacuum is the light weight it has when I'm using it. The way is effortlessly switches from carpet to hardwood without having to switch the height of brush is amazing. You can turn the brush off or on and you never seem to lose the suction power. The only negative I can find with this vacuum is when you are trying to vacuum bath mats or long trellis rugs the vacuum will pick up the rugs and pull them off the floor. Annoying at times but the amount of debris and dirt it collects off the floor is amazing even when you vacuum daily or bi daily. Great price match also that I got and got triple rewards from Best Buy with the purchase. Very pleased with the purchase.

I would never recommend this vacuum EVER! I live alone and am gone much of the time. I do not need to vacuum too often. When I do, this thing picks up very little and then may spew it back out! The hose from the pick up area clogs or it clogs where the hose connects to the canister! If that is not enough, it will mat up with carpet fiber in the canister around the filter. I have to clean the hose and canister every time I use it. Horrible product! When I called about it to Best Buy, they don't service it and referred me to some 3rd party would not even talk to me! The piece of junk I have ever purchased! I give it 2 stars because it looks good. Don't believe BB will post a negative review!

Light weight vac w good suction for carpets
Posted by: Readtwicebuyonce from: Baltimore, MD on
Manual does not make clear how to use vac to clean hardwood floors; I assume that turning brush rotation off is for this purpose? Vac often unhinges from upright position when lifted by handle & carried upstairs or from floor to carpet. Combination crevice/brush attachment does not include functional tool for cleaning furniture. Crevice tool is too thick to fit in sliding door tracks & the "slide-down" brushhead does not stay locked in place. I have only owned well designed Hoover vacs that have been helpful household products. It does not appear that a homeowner helped to test this style during the development/production process so that these obvious problems could have been easily remedied before going on the market! I wish that I could have tried it before purchasing.

The vaccum is a great product. I had an old run down vacuum before this one, and you can really tell the difference. It picks up most things if not everything. The only thing i would say is that the size over the container is not too big. I have a 2/2 apartment and empty it after each use.

Great and light weight

I really like this vacuum. I got it for my mom because it's very light in weight (around 10 pounds). So it makes it easy for her to bring up the stairs or where ever she cleans. It sucks up a lot dust considering that it's a really small and compact. I also like the design and colors. The greens and reds really look good with the silver.
The only thing I don't like about the vacuum is the hose. You have to disconnect it from the vacuum and plug it into a separate connection at the bottom of the vacuum. It's not a big deal but it messes up your "cleaning vibe". I wish they could have designed this so that I could just pull out he hose and keep cleaning instead of pausing for 10 seconds to plug it into another socket.
Other than that it's an awesome product.
