Posted by: from Prattville, AL on 03/28/2013Please, please, please DONT waste your money. I have written an extensive review on the app center in itunes. Just go to itunes and type in iBaby monitor and read all the negative review. It has a 2 star rating with the newest version and a 1.5 star overall including previous versions. Trust me buy something else!!!!

    UNBIASED REVIEW
    5
Posted by: from on 03/12/2013Tested against other popular WiFi model monitors. UNBIASED REVIEW: SET UP: Very easy! Only 4 incredibly simple steps! Took about 10 minutes. And if you unplug it to move it, no re-setup needed. Starts working right away. PICTURE: Not the best, not the worst. Frankly, was expecting much better for the price. Night vision was decent. Good enough to see your baby, but you won't be hunting deer with it. PRICE: No beating around, price is bad. Real bad. $199 seems much considering there are ones half that price with the same features. RELIABILITY: This is where it shines! And it shined bright! Amongst the other popular WiFi models, it's the only one that worked 100% of the times! WiFi... LTE... Poor service... Worked every time! FUNCTIONALITY: Pan/tilt/live feed function has about 1-2 second delay average, but is actually the quickest of them all. Motion/noise sensor was decent. VERDICT: Received 5 stars due to one lone reason... Reliability. We tend to get wrapped up in features available to us on new technologies. But we mustn't forget the sole purpose of a baby monitor... To monitor our baby. Therefore, if one doesn't work every time, it doesn't matter what it "can" do. Price is high, but worth every penny for a piece of mind!

A Must Have For Babies Room and Kids Room!
    5
Posted by: from Texas on 02/29/2012We all want to keep our little ones safe, but as parents we can not be right there every second. I know with my kids, I have had to use a baby monitor. When my kids were babies I just had the voice monitors, I would have loved a camera where I can keep on eye on them while doing house work and such. Well with this baby I will have such a camera. A baby monitor that follows my babies motions and one that I can access from my iPhone or computer. Recently I was sent the iHealth-iBaby Monitor to review. The baby is not here yet, but I have a very funny three year old who was more than happy to help me review this monitor. My son stayed in his room while I went to the computer, I was able to use my mouse to make the camera move with him. He thought is was a lot of fun, being able to see if I could see him now, lol. I love that I can follow him around, so if I loose sight of him, instead of dropping everything to see what he is up to, I can just scan the room for him. The iHealth iBaby Monitor is the perfect device to add to any kids room, not just a babies room, and it is great for easing mom and dad's anxiety when kids get too quiet!

    Works as expected

Posted by: from Atlanta, GA on 01/28/2012This is my first wireless ip camera and I've now had it for a month. I picked this over the Foscam and others because it appeared easier to set up. And that turned out to be the case. I'm reasonably comfortable with computers, but not a tech wiz by any stretch. The set up went smooth and fairly quickly. All the advertised features work -- decent picture even when dark, works over the internet (i.e. outside the home) and works great on my iphone. It picks up sound when viewing the camera over the iphone app or over the internet explorer browser. It does not pick up sound over a firefox browser. Internet explorer also allowed me to speak to my "baby", but first had to connect the ibaby camera to a spare speaker (sound quality was not the best, but good enough). The quality of the video was in line with expectations -- i.e. good enough for the intended purpose. The camera has a fairly wide range of motion (up/down, side to side). Camera does not have a zoom. One of the concerns I had reading various online reviews of the camera was that the instructions were written by someone with English as a second (or third) language. Yes the instructions would fail any middle school writing test, but were clear enough for me to figure out what to do to get things set up. However, if you are totally non-tech savvy, you may want to enlist the help of a friend to make the installation easier. So bottom line -- this is a good product if you're looking for something to watch your baby (or pet) both in home and while not home.

Great Product But Overpriced Compared to It's Comp
    3
Posted by: from New York, NY on 12/23/2011The Ibaby is a good wireless IP camera with great features, but it is essentially just another overpriced Foscam IP camera clone. Foscam is the original mass market wireless IP camera based on the same chipset and solution provider as Ibaby, with all the same features, plus more, and available for half the price. Since the Foscam and the Ibaby are based on the exact same chipset and solution provider they are 100% software compatible. However, Foscam has some additional features which Ibaby is missing. For example, Foscam cameras have the ability to turn the IR-LED lights on/off. This is useful if you want your baby to sleep without bright LED lights in his/her face. Also, its useful if you want to point the camera through a window since the LEDs will reflect off the glass. Furthermore, Foscam has been around for over 2 years and has a large online community following with active community support forums from Foscam US. In addition, Foscam US provides full setup guides as well as telephone based customer support for Foscam cameras. This is a department in which Ibaby is severely lacking. The wireless IP camera market is booming right now with new manufacturers popping up everywhere. There are a number of them which you should keep your eye on. Most notably, there is Agasio which produce cameras with all the same features as Foscam but have some additional benefits. For example, the Agasio camera beats out the Foscam in that it has an embedded IR Cut filter which produces images that are more well defined, rich and accurately colored. The Agasio also has a better light auto-exposure adjustment capability than Foscam. Although Ibaby does what it advertises, it does so for more than double the price of its competitors with a lack of technical support and less features. Check out whats out there before overpaying for an Ibaby. I highly recommend either Foscam or Agasio. Also, with respect to Iphone/Ipad/Android Apps, remember that Ibaby, Foscam and Agasio are all using an identical chipset and solution provider so the apps which work with one will work with all others. Thus, I recommend the use of an app called Live Cams for Iphone/Ipad. This app is really great in that it allows two-way audio and has a much better and easier to use interface than either the Ibaby or the Foscam app. For android, I recommend a program called IPCam Viewer. For Windows, I highly recommend Blue Iris Professional which can turn your Ibaby or Foscam into a professional surveillance solution. For MAC, go with Vitamin D. I hope my review has been helpful. Best Regards
