Works just as it should, if you have common sense.

Posted by: ElizD from St. Louis, MO on 06/01/2012This works perfectly for me. I bought it, followed the directions (let it pick the stations), and it worked like a charm! I live in a city, and if I drive 20-30min out into the county, I sometimes have to change a station, but once I change it, it works perfectly again. I agree with other reviewers not to turn up the volume on your iPod all the way, or the sound will break up, otherwise the sound is good. It's just what you'd expect coming from "a radio station". Of course the sound isn't going to be as good as it would be from a CD or if you had a AUX plug directly in your car stereo, but the sound quality is better than a regular radio station. For the technology, I don't think you could get any better. I have a 2006 Toyota Camry.

Posted by: supa182 from on 09/06/2011I purchased the fm transmitter the other day and immediately put it in. First impression was that is was good but as i drove no matter what channel it went on it came through muffled and full of static. I tried the product the next day and same thing... worked liked not great and didnt work well at all. Next day returned the product got the other brand that was there and that product work perfectly no problems. Get the brand Scosche.

Posted by: JayJnTexas from Houston on 05/28/2011I read some of the reviews before I bought this device and came close to returning it. Out of the box, the signal was not clear at all and I did hear a hissing sound frequently. Before I took it back, I felt I better read the instructions and try to tune it per instructions first. I am glad i did. After having the device seek out the strongest 5 channels it has worked very well for the past few months. I use it locally and on weekend road trips. It works great in both settings - no static or hissing noise - just clear music

Posted by: luxnlove from San Diego,CA on 11/23/2010Horrible product.
First, you have to turn the transmitter on every time you turn your car on or switch from different audio source.
Second, It also will stop connecting to iPhone and start transmitting 'fuzz' if you don't have music playing (for ex if you are on the phone when it's hooked up, the transmitter will start playing loud fuzz during your phone call).
Third, it is poorly manufactured. The plastic covering came off, which eventually resulted in the product not working at all.
I would never recommend this product to anyone.

Works surprisingly well

Posted by: John8900 from Albuquerque, NM on 09/05/2010Powerful enough that it will cancel out some broadcast stations
Automatically powers off and on
Be very careful not to leave the control unit face-up in the sun. It is glued together and will overheat like a little greenhouse. Mine warped, but not too bad and it still works.

Posted by: OSUFaninTX from Dallas, TX on 07/25/2010I went in looking to buy a cable set to be installed into my 2005 Cadillac CTS. Unfortunately, they didn't have the hardware in stock, so I settled for this product. After deliberation with the Best Buy employee, I rolled the dice (knowing they have a 30-day return policy if it was awful). I played with it a bit and found a station that was fuzzy (88.3 if you live in DFW, TX). I learned that you cannot have the volume on your ipod up the entire way or else the sound quality is horrible. I have my ipod volume to around 50% and the product works very well. I used to own one of the more expensive FM transmitters (Belkin, I think), which broke. I am surprisingly, and happily, satisfied with this product.
