I bought this TV and the first one quit working and I went and got another one and that one something was wrong with it. It couldn't see no wireless connections and then I got another one and it's been working fine ever since.

It's hard to get good and cheap but this fits the bill.
Hook up any hdmi device whether it be blu ray player , Xbox one, PS4, etc.
It's 720p and has built in Roku which means it's interface has apps to watch movies through Netflix, Hulu,Etc. Intuitive menu interface. It's a decent Set for a kids bedroom or secondary room.
It has DLNA! This means it auto detects any media library you have setup from your PC like plex or kodi. Stream all your ripped and digitally acquired media.
Tiny remote, it will get lost if you are not careful.
It has optical port for Headsets or home threaten amp an odd choice for its screen size but good benefit.
The sound is Nice but tends the play up the background music , they have presets for sound but it's easy to drown out vocals.
It has a good picture and good niche features and happens to be cheap. A pleasant surprise.

What I love about the TV is the Roku.
I mounted the tv in the breakfast nook and I don't have to put an extra line and cable box to watch my local channels, ESPN, HGTV, etc...I recommended it to my sister and she bought one at Bestbuy too.

perfect for the guest bedroom

fast and easy setup and is the perfect size for the dresser in the guest bedroom, only complaint is that the subtitles do not work that well and the quality isnt as great as a 1080 but that is to be expected.

good price for a spare tv, & only 10pounds
Posted by: melodicmizery from: cleveland on
i bought 2 of these tvs as cheap average size spare tvs. i already have 2 50inches so i needed something light and moveable. this was the cheapest 32inch tv i could find with wifi although i dont think ill be even using the wifi.
i have one in my spare bedroom for guests which will barely get any usage, and another in my living room next to my big tv for double gaming
i ordered a security system and i plan on running the systems hdmi unit into the living room tv when im not double gaming.
the hd channels like the olympics for example on a regular antenna came in crystal clear. some of my older movies you can see the bad pixels but for the price and usage its great
the cons are the remote is kinda weird but you get use to it. and when you hit the power it seems to take a few seconds to turn on.
the tv is ultra light only 10 pounds, so i can easily carry it upstairs and downstairs or wherever i want to move it and should be easy to wall mount it when i use my security cameras. im also considering using a hdmi splitter to see if i can use both at the same time for security cameras.

Needs 7.2 software update to watch Sony PS Vue :-(
Posted by: CJR72 from: on
This tv provides an excellent picture and sound. The tv is a good size for a small room or bedroom. For the most part, the Roku feature works as expected. However, after speaking with Roku customer service, I was made aware that Roku Tv's (and he made it seem like all Roku Tv's) have yet to update beyond the 7.0.2 software. The Roku boxes update seamlessly, but not the RokuTv's. I am a Sony Playstation Vue subscriber, which is much better than Sling. In order to watch Sony PS Vue, the Roku Tv's must have the 7.2.0 software update. For that reason, I will be returning this tv back to Best Buy and buying a separate tv and roku box. This is very disappointing. Best Buy and Roku should make this information available.

Great smart tv..
Posted by: Marc from: on
Perfect smart tv for the bedroom, worked great right out of the box. We went in store to check the back light and colors prior to purchase. The display tv was in the middle of 1080p tv's and looked pale in comparison. Once we purchased and brought it home (out of store mode) it had an excellent picture and good sound too. The "cast to tv" feature works great with Samsung 8.5in pro tablet, galaxy 7 and LG g3 smart phones. Also has an android app that enables phone to work as full function remote. We programmed our charter remote to the TV for volume, mute and power.

It was possessed?
Posted by: LAURA from: on
I am sure that this was a fluke, and I do have another Insignia in my house with no problems. But this tv just went crazy after we had it mounted of course (10 minutes after). Black screen, green screen, crazy lines. I am sure that the people at customer service thought that we were crazy as well because it was working fine until it didn't . . . We were redeemed. And would have just exchanged it for the same one but they did not have any left so we went with the LG.

For the price, it does the job and more . . . .

I recently got rid of cable (company charging way too much for cable boxes and remotes). I have now gone with an all smartTV lineup at home and I can't believe I waited this long. I purchased this smartTV for my bedroom. The picture looks very good, sound is adequate. The ROKU stick is the frosting on the cake. I have access to slingTV, Netflix, Youtube and other apps. The tv is super light and you can carry it with ease. In all, especially for the price, a homerun!
