Everything I need in an XB1 remote

Posted by: CDT1stClass from Kansas on 04/02/2016At first I was searching for a simple remote for my XB1 because I've been watching more movies and TV on it vs. Cable/Sat. But after stumbling upon this Easter egg, i am glad i went with this remote that can do more than just turn on and off the box. The basic features I was searching for are on the front of the remote with the d-pad and select keys. But when I want to YouTube or search for movies in whatever app, I is so convenient to flip over the remote and have a full keyboard readily available. I do not have a single regret purching this remote over others. Perfect for what I was looking for in an XB1 remote.

Best media remote

Posted by: DannyP from on 04/01/2016I love the typing pad on the bottom. It works great with Netflix, YouTube and every app I've tried on my Xbox One. It says that it doesn't work for YouTube but it works for me on my Xbox One. And I like the green glowing back light that matches the green light on the Xbox One. I also like that I can turn the Xbox One on/off with the remote. So if I not going to play the game there's no need for me to grab the controller. Now that they have a media remote with a typing pad. I use this remote for everything except gaming. I use it for the Blu-ray player, Web searches, game searches, movie searches on Netflix/Hulu, SlingTV, videos on YouTube and for the over the air channels that I get with the Xbox One tuner. Can't wait for the DVR update so I can record. The only thing that's missing is a record button for when Xbox One adds the DVR ability to record movies/shows over the air. As you can tell I'm a cord cutter

Decent remote

Posted by: Tinker from on 03/25/2016This remote is really convenient for typing with a keypad on the back. It seems touchy though. If I pause something and try to hit play it won't play. I have to push the play button to wake it up, then turn it over to hit enter on the keypad before it plays. Not a huge deal, just a mild inconvenience. Overall it was worth the purchase.
