Man cave necessity

Usually priced at $200 I missed the deal to get this at $99 but waited long enough for it to drop to $120 and got it immediately. Less than one hour to setup with no extra tools needed. Btw, all materials are labeled making it easier to put together!
-Top glass layer is 52" wide and my 51in plasma (pn51f8500) is on top along with a couple of front speakers , X1 kinect, controllers, and 3D glasses.
-2nd layer is 31" between metal beams and 34" glass to glass with 6" height space currently housed by center speaker, Xbox 360, and blu-rays/games.
-3rd layer is 48" wide and 8 1/2" height space housed by a Yamaha receiver, X1, and PS4.

Great TV stand for a room
Posted by: JCG23 from: Houston TX on
I absolutely love this TV stand!! It is very well built and sturdy, i love the looks of it, it looks great in my room. I bought on sale at best buy so that's a plus. I find it very easy to slide around on carpet even with all of the electronics i have in it plus my 46'' TV. its so easy to make cable connection on the back and i did a very nice job hiding all of the cables. Overall a very great TV stand if your looking for a low profile look because it is not very tall.

Good looking stand that's easy to set up.

Let me break this down into two parts
Look of the Stand
First let me say the picture on the website does this stand no justice. You really need to go into the store and look at it. For one thing the glass is a lot darker than the picture depicts. It also just looks a lot better in general. I wasn't sure what stand I was going to get when I walked into bestbuy. I had it down to this, and another one. But once I saw this stand I knew it was the one.
Setting the Stand up
First let me say I've assembled a few TV stands over the years. From my parents, to friends, and my own. I normally dread the experience. I once spent three hours putting together a stand. Making new holes because the manufacturer didn't line them up correctly, and looking for my own screws because I was shorted. Let me just say this stand was a delight compared to those. Each piece of the stand was clearly marked with a letter, as were all the tools. All the tools were included with the product, and the instructions were perfectly clear.
I am 24yr old male, in good condition. Not super buff or anything, and I was able to assemble this stand on my own. It required no real strength. I will say older people, or people who suffer from arthritis should probably seek some help. Mostly for assembling the middle shelf. That was the hardest part, since if you're doing it yourself you will have to hold the weight of the middle shelf with one hand while screwing the support into place.
But otherwise anyone should feel comfortable putting this together. I didn't clock how long it took, even though I probably should of, but it was easily under an hour. The construction is sturdy. They include tools to mount the stand into the walls for those with doubts. But the most important part is that I love the way it looks. It is very open, which is important to me as I own a PS3, and anyone with a current generation console will tell you that airflow is important for their lifespan.
So I hope this has been helpful. Good luck picking a stand out.

Issues with building the unit
Posted by: dnasdca from: Vista, CA on
The unit looks great, but there were 2 holes that were supposed to pre drilled. They were not! Although they were not needed for completion of the actual framing, the holes were supposed to support the plastic buffer that keeps the glass slightly elavated over the metal frame. Without these buffers, the glass now sits directly on top of the metal frame...

Fantastic, good looking, inexpensive T.V. stand
Posted by: Happy from: on
I was looking for an inexpensive T.V. stand for my 60" flat screen. This stand is all black powder coated steel and tempered glass and very sturdy. It went together easily. Though the information stated it was for T.V.s up to 55", it easily supports my 60" Vizio LED, sound bar and Blu-ray player. For under $200, it can't be beat. Attractive too!

Stylish, affordable modern stand for a modest setu
Posted by: LeVeau from: Houston, TX on
We were looking for a compact TV stand to replace a full-sized entertainment system as we moved into an apartment. Initially we were looking at wood-based stands but this one caught my wife's eye - unusual because she's not really into glass-and-steel furniture.
The stand was relatively easy to set up - it took me about half an hour. The cable management area in the back works well, with both metal crossbars and velcro straps to keep the tangle at bay. I have a Roku, Apple TV, Blu-ray player, Linksys router and UPS on here, and for the most part you can't see most of the cabling. The feet slide easily on our wood floor, so I can get to the back when I need to change a component or move stuff around.
The only downside is that the black-tinted glass shows dust and animal hair easily. We have two kittens - one of them a longhair breed - and I have to wipe it down once a week.

What a stand.
Posted by: SirCharles from: on
This is the exact match for a Panasonic Plasma TV (50G20). The frame on the tv and the stand are the same both in size and color/gloss black. Easy assembly. Only wish is came taller so the tv is higher and that both shelves had 2" more spacing. My receiver barely fit width, depth, and hight = shoehorned in.

Very nice for my TV and game systems
Posted by: Jakewp11 from: Green Bay on
This TV stand is perfect. I have MORE than enough room to put 2 gaming systems, the cable box, speakers, and my TV. It took a while to put together but it was definitely worth it! I would probably recommend having someone help you put it together. It's kind of hard to balance everything while you're screwing things in place. I dust it about once a month to keep it looking pretty

Nice tv stand
Posted by: ezsomma from: Lynchburg,Va. on
Nice stand, clean lines and looks good. Very straight forward set up. Wish it was about 6in higher for better straight on viewing. If you do not have floor model speakers, there is no room for them on this stand. These are not complaints, mind you. Just observations if i was to buy another one in the future. All in all it is a nice stand, very sturdy/solid and built well.

I purchased this stand for the sole reason that it had a place to put a center channel. It took about 30 minutes to set up and it is EXTREMELY sturdy. I am so glad I chose this stand! Fits my Samsung 40A450 perfectly as well as other various components
