The only diff I can tell is it's a little noisier. That's it. Beyond that, it's fine and does the job, including very good water flow velocity.

Posted by: MF227DW from on 11/21/2015The instruction for flush after replacement is different from the refrigerator manual. The water filter instruction says to flush for 2 mins. I have LG, and it says to flush for 5 mins. I would follow the refrigerator manual.

Fits the LG refrigerators with the overhead filter

Posted by: ToddInVA from on 11/06/2015It's basically plug-n-play. Just take out the old filter and put the new filter in. Then you'll have to draw about a gallon of water out before you drink because there is a significant amount of carbon dust in the water at first.
