Synopsis

Investigative Reports: Dangerous Seas - Inside the U.S. Coast Guard
In this documentary, part of the Investigative Reports series from the Arts and Entertainment Cable Network, series host and producer Bill Kurtis enters the world of the U.S. Coast Guard. This video, made in full cooperation with the agency, follows several Coast Guard crews as they risk their lives patrolling the seas, lakes, and oceans of America. First, Investigative Reports steps aboard the 110-foot cutter Farallon on a Caribbean patrol, looking for drug smugglers, among other tasks. Then, the documentary travels to the Pacific Northwest, where Coast Guard crews work to save lives and protect activity in Cape Disappointment in Oregon. Investigative Reports also travels up to the Air Station Kodiak in Alaska where the world's largest Coast Guard station watches over precious fishing waters. ~ Cecilia Cygnar, Rovi
