Gel piece loses rigidity after about 2 weeks
Posted by: DoctorEvil from: on
This ear piece at first seemed as if it was going to be the answer but after about two weeks of heavy use the yellow Gel insert started to lose its rigidity. Once this happened the speaker no longer held tightly to my ear canal and it started to fall out of ear more easily. Almost was the one. Could have also been a little louder.

Ok but doesn't stay put

For some this may work fine. After about a week it seemed as if the gel insert that was supposed to hold the earpiece started to lose its stiffness so it started falling out. That also led to it not being as loud as it was in beginning. Ok,but not great.

The ear piece is a little cumbersome to use. You cannot tell if it is fully charged. You cannot tell when it finishes charging. it does the job, but would not be my first choice if buying again.

Works great ....But

I would give this a five star but there is a fitting issue as I have found when bending down and turning my head the ear piece becomes dislodged and falls out even with the yellow hook compressing in my ear.
Everyone's ears are not the same shape and very few ear pieces fit my ear profile unless it is custom made.
I own a small cabinet shop business and I am constantly bending, shaking and contorting my body but so far the sound is clear and the people on the other end can hear me just fine.
Hope this helps!

This is a replacement for a Plantronics Bluetooth Headset that was beginning to experience poor performance, such that anyone I was talking to said it sounded like I was talking underwater. I typically do not purchase a brand new item, particularly without ANY reviews whatsoever. But I felt this could be an exception. While the Steel does work, albeit only fairly well, it is not quite what I was looking for. It is not real comfortable, although I will change out the ear bud to see if that helps. It has only been a week after all. Also, at least three times a day I get a message saying "disconnected", followed immediately by "two devices connected" (I do have two iPhones connected). I would not be happy if this was to happen in the middle of a phone call. Also not pleased with the charger connection; the little door/cover is very difficult to manipulate while trying to plug in the charger.
I will keep using it in hopes that it improves.

This is a great Bluetooth headset for people who work outside and generally sweat.
Pros: stays snug in ear without ear hook.
Sound quality is great.
Noise cancellation is great.
Easy to sync.
Cons: takes some time to break in ear piece, so may hurt for a couple of weeks when wearing over 4 hours.
Poor battery life, in having to charge it at least one more time to make it through a day.
Charging port can be a pain to get the micro usb plugged in.

Not worth $100

The item states that it's for some one working in the construction field, this device doesn't stay on ear when you are workin on a ladder for example and you tilt your head a couple of times it falls of, the volume level is bad when your driving or again in contraction field where there's constant ambient noise, there's a problem when doing play back on voice mails it get jammed and some times won't play voice message

comfortable design but not my first choice for a h

The Jabra Steel Bluetooth headset. For purposes of this review, I used this headset with my iPhone 6s.
Pros: It has a rugged design, but is light weight and extremely comfortable to wear. In the box you receive the headset, 2 wind socks, 2 spare rubber ear pieces, a spare ear clip, and a charging cord. The headset stayed in place well, even while doing some light manual labor. Incoming sound was clear and easy to understand. The controls are simple to work.
Cons: Outgoing transmissions sound tinny and have a slight echo to the person on the other end of the call. The battery life is short. If used moderately heavy, it will not last an 8 hour work day. The charging cord is very short. You have to download and install an App on your phone in order to use this headset. It is the first time I have seen that. The App also contains a locator feature to find your headset and digital manuals.
Summary: While this headset is very comfortable to wear and sounds good on my end, it may not be good for those with whom you are talking. The short battery life means you will have to charge it mid day. Having to use space on the phone for a separate App to use the device is also a downer for me. This would not be my first choice of a headset.

Controls are awkward, the answer/activate button is a tiny stiff switch that is difficult to feel and sometimes does not depress when pushed. When talking on the phone, everyone said it sounded like I was in a tunnel and they couldn't understand me. Doesn't live up to the price
