Works Great! But..

So overall, I am quite pleased with this product, however, I do have a few complaints about it. So here are some pros and cons:
-Can remove base to fit a 16oz Contigo under it
-Can dispense just hot water
-Changing water is easy (but don't put it in a tight space)
-Can only use Keurig K-cups (not other brands, it will display an error on the screen)
-Can only dispense 4 or 6 oz of hot water at a time
-Haven't found a reusable K-cup that will work with this machine yet
Overall, it is a great product, but those cons are just enough to be annoying. I would, however, recommend this product to anyone wanting to buy one if they don't mind being stuck to Keurig K-cups.

My idea for the RV
Posted by: DOBBSavenue from: Joplin, MO on
A way to go for the RV. Can make a cup of coffee when needed. Don't have to make a carafe full just for a cup. Love it! I did give it 4 stars because I have to use Keurig brand with it only but finally bought the filter unit to use with it and I fill it up with my own coffee grounds.

great coffee, simple and fast, and can other k cup
Posted by: seafoodjoe from: on
Always refused to buy the keurig because of the monopoly on the k cups...way too expensive. BUT this model allows using refillable k kups with whatever blend of coffee you use. I love it. Just refill and nice and easy coffee. I mix and blend. Alsogreat to make fast cup of tea. Great coffee maker.

I had the regular Keurig for a few months before it failed in the power switch and went to exchange it. I got the 2.0 because the other had been phased out. What I didn't like about the original machine was the small volume given at the smaller cup setting. I chose the small setting because I like strong coffee and with a K-Cup, you get weaker coffee the larger the brew.
I love the new 2.o because it puts out a lslightly larger "small" cup which fills my normal coffee cup about 3/4 of the way rather than 1/2. It is also noticeably more quiet.
I think it's lame that Keurig made it so you can't use unofficial K-cups, but there is a way around that anyone can learn on You Tube.
This machine seems just right for my lifestyle and makes a good, fast cup of coffee.

Makes a good cup of coffee.
Posted by: KayWC from: on
This is my second Keurig. I wanted a smaller unit for the Motorhome and also wanted the ability to make several cups at a time. I have been very pleased with this Keurig 2 K200. It makes a good cup of coffee. I like being able to make a stronger cup if I want. I like being able to change the size of the cup I make(my other one also has this option). I have not purchased the carafe so I cannot comment on making several cups at one time. Plan on buying it soon.
The only negative is the noise it makes while brewing. It is loud and sounds like it is working hard.

Only Kuerig brand
Posted by: lolly35169 from: on
Brought it home, going back today. It only will recognize their brand pods so I can't use my Aldi ones or one I ordered from Brooklyn Coffee. I didn't notice this on the box, but will pay attention to the next one I purchase.

Great Keurig for the Price
Posted by: IPels from: on
The only issue I have is that you are limited to the largest cup size of 6oz when doing just water (10z when using a container). Since I have teas that I like that are not in Keurig containers I like being able to brew the hot water which I could do with my older Keurig at larger sizes. Now I have to do it twice just to get a 10oz cup of tea.

Great Coffee Maker
Posted by: Krissy from: on
If you don't really have the need for the larger Keurig's this one fits the bill. It allows you 6 cups sizes and the ability to add the carafe. It's great for those that drink one cup a day. I recommend it!

Nice Size and Good Coffee
Posted by: ryanmcv from: Phoenix, AZ on
The K200 is a great size for smaller kitchens or for anyone looking to save some counter space. The only drawback to the smaller size is that the 40-ounce reservoir will require frequent refilling if you use the machine multiple times per day. Otherwise, the K200 simplifies my morning routine and offers a huge variety of coffee and beverage choices.
Coffee sometimes tastes rather weak, especially on the larger brew settings. I would recommend using Extra Bold K-Cups when brewing 10 ounces or more. Also, coffee doesn't seem to stay hot for very long, but it's not a huge issue if you drink the coffee as soon as its made. On weekends, I still use my trusty drip brewer, mainly because I have the extra time and still prefer the stronger coffee taste. But for busy mornings and lazy nights, the Keurig does the job just fine.

Easy to use brewer
Posted by: Nu2Keurig from: on
The directions for setting up the K200 are sparse but it was easy to set up. I especially like the brewing size options of 4-6-8-10 oz. for standard k-cups, and additional options for mug and carafe k-cups. I am satisfied with the available brands and flavors of Keurig-compatible k-cups.
Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.
