A wealthy entrepreneur becomes a big hit on the underground mixtape scene, and finds his musical career gaining momentum fast as a beautiful executive from a major label attempts to seduce him with promises of fame. Carter Blanche was a self-made man. In a bid to start a new life, however, he reinvents himself as a successful DJ. Later, as Highway Records executive Rachel Anderson attempts to wrangle Carter into signing a contract with her label, trouble turns up in the form of his former partner Uglyman, who shows up freshly paroled from prison and eager to get back in the game. Of course this development doesn't sit well with Carter's new business partner Dell, who develops some serious trust issues with his associate's shady old crew. When the FBI begins gathering evidence against Carter with the help of his girlfriend Thalia, a volatile situation threatens to erupt into violence. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
