October 2015, after moving into a new home, I decided to update my old GE cooktop, double oven, and microwave. Kitchen Aid was having a great promotion at the time, along with most other high end appliance companies and I was having a hard time deciding on the best brand to purchase. Of course, the more appliances you buy, the better the rebate. The last home I lived in I purchased Thermador appliances and was mostly happy with them, but this time around I thought, "is Thermador worth the extra $2-3K more?" Both KitchenAid and Thermador looked very similar, stainless steel, rolled bar handles, digital display. In the past I didn't think KitchenAid looked high end, but with this new line it definitely was a competitor. I even liked the blue oven interior (which they mirrored after Wolf). I decided to go with KitchenAid in the end and now I come to my review of the cooktop:
I have been very happy with this cooktop from KitchenAid. It definitely performs like the high end cooktops! The best part is it is easy to clean. Like I said previously, I had a Thermador which has those cute stars for burners. They worked great but were a bear to clean! I have had this cooktop for several months now and it still looks brand new. The performance is good too. It has a high power BTU in the middle and an extra low one too. The handles light up as well when you turn the knobs. I purchased this 36" cooktop and think the size is good for multiple pots. I don't have problems with overcrowding or using multiple pots at the same time.

Awesome Stove Top

My old stove top went out and I bought this as a replacement for my wife. She loves it. Great even heating and looks beautiful with our other appliances in the kitchen. The middle burner is our favorite because how fast it can heat up water.

I'm in love with my new stove! The middle burner is big enough to use a griddle on! So many possibilities!

This Cooktop is very nice and high end looking. I had to get a guy to enlarge the opening in the Granite , You have to measure correctly or you would be disappointed . I love everything about this Cook Top but I was disapointed with Best Buy's photos which showed 2 burners with a double tier burner where in fact it only had the middle one. The picture still as of today show that bottom right burner with dual heads.

The kitchen is under construction....new countertops, etc. so the cook top has not been installed yet but I don't anticipate any problems.

Kitchen Aid Cook top

The CookTop is a great investment we did.
Has the low profile and especially the center burner has two state of burner in case you need to have high heat you can turn on the outer burner which gives lots of BTU.
