GREAT PRODUCT-but I got a lemon...
Posted by: Weedytj from: Sonoma County, California on
I researched the heck out of a replacement microwave after our trusty well used Panasonic died... This seemed like a dream machine for our needs so we drove the extra distance to get one. Came home, oops, pizza door not quite closing on the right side, slightly warped. Oh well, maybe we will take it back but let's try it. Microwave nice albeit noisier rotating than our oldie... Tried the pizza oven, heated the frozen buns nicely, but after it said END and did its beep signals and I removed the buns, when I closed the oven tray the heater went back on with a big ZERO . Unplugged it, read the instruction book AGAIN (since hitting clear/stop did nothing)... Looked online- no advice there either. Back to the store. Sigh, had to get a plain ol' microwave...

Pizza and Microwave Oven in one!
Posted by: Becky from: on
I replace the over-the-range oven that came with my house with a proper vent hood, and I needed a countertop microwave oven to complete my kitchen. I read the varied reviews on this and one other similar model, and I'm very happy that I was able to purchase one.
The sides and top of the appliance are covered with a clear film, so be sure you remove it before using the unit. I've baked nachos, sandwiches, and pizza in the bottom oven and have been very pleased with the results. There is a pan that comes with the unit, and you can pretty much bake anything that doesn't exceed the height/width of the pan.
The microwave functions well and with similar features as many other units. One complaint I read from others is that it doesn't have 1-button functionality. You can't push 2 and have the oven start cooking on high for 2 minutes. That doesn't bother me because I prefer to be able to select, say, 2m15s and then hit start. I also like to cook my foods at power levels other than high, so I'm happy without the 1-button function.
I think this oven does it all very well, and I'm very happy with my purchase thus far. If you can find one of these available, I suggest snatching it up while you can.

Worth the investment

Pros: It's perfect for my family of four. The interior fits one dinner plate, but the height is big enough for my wife to warm up food in corning whare. The oven is perfect for my teenagers. They have made pizza puffs/chicken kiev, buritos, etc...w/o having to use our oven and waste money heating up small items they love to make after school and when the're hungry. I am going to buy this for my second son going too college to use. Wish I found this for my oldest son 4 yrs ago when he went away....The stainless steel cleans easily with windex and paper towel. Heats water/coffee quickly and this system is quiet with the microwave and oven part. Make sure you read the instructions, very simple to comprehend, so you know how too fully use this microwave/oven and functions.
This item for both units together is not overwhelming in size to be placed on a kitchen counter or corner microwave cart.
Cons: The microwave and oven can not be used at the same time. So, like cooking above mentioned items for 15 to 20 minutes in the oven, you can not use the microwave during that time. Also, I'm just a little worried about the door button to the microwave door. It has to be pushed in far to make the door open. I'm thinking it might ware out quickly...But I took out the extended warranty for this item knowing it us used multiple times everyday or I'll give it to my son for college and buy us the new one....LOL......

Toaster Ovens are Old School
Posted by: scooterjimmy from: melbourne, fl on
I debated on upgrading to a cabinet-mounted microwave over my gas stove until I stumbled on this LG counter microwave and oven combo. I was literally blown away after reading all the reviews on HomeDepot, Lowe's and LG's website. Everyone was out of stock, except BestBuy, so I rushed to BestBuy and bought this oven right away and have been extremely happy. The oven is actually multifunctional, not just for pizzas. I previously had a top of the line KichenAide Toaster oven , but never like the look of more appliance clutter on my countertops. I have shared my LG oven with a few neighbors and coworkers and All five people now own this LG microwave. Great Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts...

The oven drawer rocks!
Posted by: SummerMom from: on
This microwave combo is the best. I was unsure about how it would work but just bought it because it was the correct size. The oven drawer is my favorite and I use it all the time. No getting your house hot with the whole big stove oven. Throw a few frozen fries in for lunchtimes it's the best!

Does what it says, online pictures are NOT accurate
Posted by: Wolf from: Wauwatosa, WI on
Works really well on heating and makes pizza's with ease. Not much training needed. Quite and not a loud bell when finished cooking. Products does everything but broil. If you don't eat steaks, you'll never use your stove again. After I received the product it looked like it needed to be installed in a cabinet. The sides and top are gray tin, really diminishes the stainless steel feature. So I bought Matte BlackSelf-adhesive PVC water resistand and heat resistant and added it to the embossed area of the sides and top. I added pictures of the inside color and what it looks like after vinyl upgrade.

A combination I've always wanted...
Posted by: ihaveaskull from: mpls, mn on
...but I never knew existed until a Flash sale came along.
There are already plenty of reviews of this microwave, and like most of them, I agree that the pizza oven part is really handy. The microwave seems to do everything a microwave should do. I've had it about a month and have no complaints about how it works.
I knocked off one star for a couple reasons. First, the microwave oven section is kind of small. This unit replaced a similar capacity unit from 1989, but it feels smaller. This may be because the door opening is smaller than I was used to. The interior back and left side have "bump outs" that increase the volume, but I'm not sure it's really usable space. However, it is big enough for anything I will put in it.
Second, when you unpack this unit you need to remove the protective plastic film that covers the entire top and both ends. This film was obviously put on before the oven was assembled, so the edges of the film are actually crimped into the places where the cover meets the front panel and door opening, making it really hard to cleanly remove. I actually resorted to loosening the cover by taking out all the screws that hold it on so I could get all the film off (I should probably say I DON'T recommend this) and there is still some stuck around the door. Finally, the stainless steel color on the front is a brighter shade than most stainless appliances, so it looks a little odd sitting next to my fridge.

I confess I was afraid to buy this microwave but I finally decided and it was the best choice. It is a bit higher than a conventional microwave but was perfect in place of my old microwave. works incredibly well. microwave and toaster in one piece!

Better than I'd hoped for!

When I was considering this purchase, I read many online reviews. While they were very positive, I found it difficult to understand details about the oven. Best Buy offered an attractive sale price so I decided to buy it. (Their regular price is the best I could find, too.) I'm SO glad I did! The longer I own it, the more uses I discover for the oven. It offers 4 different baking temperatures so you can probably cook about anything you can fit in it. It's much roomier than I expected! The baking tray is 12" x 12" and the height clearance is a little over 2". I've heated a full sized frozen pizza and leftover fried seafood with excellent results. I plan to try more baked recipes. This oven heats food faster than a standard oven. The microwave is fine but it's the oven that sets this unit apart. I live alone and I expect I'll be using this oven more than my regular oven. I also find this to be a very attractive appliance. Be sure to remove the overwrap before use. This is a rather tedious procedure and I'm glad other reviewers made a point of it. I highly recommend this appliance!

Two great Items in one unit
Posted by: DrPop from: New Jersey on
Overall a great idea, works like a charm! If you want something quick, use the microwave, want something baked use the oven. I microwave chicken strips that are frozen to soften them up then place them in the oven for 5 mins....perfectly crispy just the way I like it, and don't forget about heating up a pizza....this oven nails it dead on !!! You'll be using this endlessly. takes quick cooking up to a whole new level !
