Multi-Air Flow Cooling

Premium LED lighting
Keep every inch illuminated. Gentle LED lighting uses less heat and energy. Plus, a door alarm will alert you if the door is left open.
SpacePlus® Ice System
Use up to 3 lbs. of ice per day. The compact ice maker leaves plenty of room for shelving, door bins, and ample storage in the fridge.
Tall Ice & Water Dispenser®
Chill a beverage or fill a pitcher with water and ice straight from the refrigerator door. The LT800P filter provides fresh, clean water for 3 to 6 months.
Keep kids from exploring the fridge. The child lock prevents young children from accessing foods they shouldn’t eat or making a mess.
Fridge OK, service back up VERY POOR
Posted by: wex0108 from: on
We purchased this very nice fridge about 3 months ago.
Then the control panel failed by getting stuck in a certain mode and the buttons didn't respond.
LG customer service were contacted and they tried to set up a repairman to visit - not only did this chap have ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE of his appointment to visit us, he had NEVER worked on LG products previously.
When we informed LG of their error they took forever to try to rectify this problem. Fortunately the fridge and freezer itself were still functioning and keeping things cool.
According to Best buy management, service back-up for many companies is Poor, and LG are just another example of this. It is all very well being pleasant on the phone and asking things such as "Is there anything else I can help you with" and "Have a nice day" etc etc and all the niceties, but at the end of the day, when you need something fixing, especially if it is only 3 months old, YOU JUST NEED IT FIXING, BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. It may not be rocket science but they seem to turn it into rocket science!
All these stores try to get you to sign for extended warranties but if this is the sort of back up you get even within the 1st year....is it worth it?!

Great fridge for small spaces
Posted by: Busymom from: on
In my small kitchen I have a very limited amount of space for our fridge. So when our old fridge died I knew it was going to be a pain to try to get one t g at fit just right. I can honestly say that I am extremely impressed with the amount of space this fridge has. I can fit twice as much in the freezer than I ever could in my old one. Thanks to the icemaker being in the door I gained an entire 2 shelves in my freezer.

Like it very much

Although this refrigerator has some minor negatives the positives makes it a great unit. Sure I read all the complaints but none are significant. The fixed shelves is not really a problem since the chosen layout is livable. With all the refrigerators with movable shelves I have owned, I never moved them once set. We adjusted quickly. The LED lights, especially in the freezer could be brighter but we never open the freezer in a completely dark kitchen. So not that much of a problem.
It makes ice quickly and if you use a glass with a normal opening, all cubes wind up in the glass.
Filter is easy to change.
This refrigerator employs a new LINEAR COMPRESSOR. Excellent new technology, and it is whisper quiet, cools fast and I mean FAST.
VERY ENERGY efficient!
Price was right, size is perfect for small kitchen, attractive design. Wife was disappointed that her magnets no longer stick. I was delighted. Just hate the pictures, stupid magnets and her honey-do-lists!
Magnets do stick to top and sides so I am not 100% free of this blight completely but I'll get by.
Again the new Linear Compressor is impressive and has a 10 year warrantee. The buttons are fine for ice-cubes/crushed/water.
Easy to use and not all that different from similar units. If you have problems with that, well sorry. They say if you build something so simple an idiot could use it, an idiot will.

Wonderful refrigerator. Our biggest problem with refrigerators in the past has been the ice maker. The last one constantly jammed and we had to replace it 3 times before the refrigerator breathed its last breathe. The one prior to that would shoot the odd ice cube across the floor! This one is working like a charm and the ice bucket is removable. I also like the fact that it's located in the door which gives you more space in the freezer. The ice maker does make some noise when the ice drops, but the refrigerator is totally quiet. The doors hold a virtual "ton" of groceries and the unit holds everything our last one did plus some! It fits perfectly in the spot designated by the cupboards in the kitchen. The price was the best in the area. Delivery was prompt and very courteous. I'm very pleased with our new refrigerator and Best Buy.

After purchasing and exchanging three Frigidaire refrigerators because they were all defective, we decided to go with this LG LSXS22423S, a slightly more expensive model. Great decision! Although the refrigerator has small outside dimensions (33" width, 67" height), it has a lot more interior room in both the freezer and refrigerator than some of the 'larger' models. It is much quieter than the Frigidaire, even when the compressor is running. Plus it comes with a 10-yr compressor warranty. This is the first refrigerator I've owned where the drawers don't stick. The water dispenser is well-designed and easy to use -- any spills can readily be wiped up without taking things apart. Overall, an excellent refrigerator.

Love this refrigerator, fits perfectly in limited space I have, moves easily so able to get in and around to keep the floor clean. One word of caution, make sure you have a shut-off valve on your water line before they show up to install it, I did not and had to call the delivery people back a 2nd time to hook up the water and ice dispenser.

Great Product so far
Posted by: bruns404 from: Brunswick, ohio on
So far this refrigerator has been a great buy, looks good and fits perfectly in the 33" wide space we have. Only complaint is the controls for the temperature control of the freezer and refrig. They are on the front of freezer right next to the ice and water buttons. So someone not familiar with the controls could inadvertently change the temp of freezer and frig and you may not know it until its too late. You can use the lock button, but it also locks out the ice and water at the same time. Not sure what the engineers were thinking.

Fits our space and life well.

Because our space is limited, our choices in refrigerators was somewhat limited. Still, we got most of what we were looking for with this one. The freezer section is ample enough for just the two of us, and the cooling part holds lots of stuff without seeming cramped. We were kind of surprised that it doesn't have a separate meat drawer, but we turned one of the two crispers into that. Through-the-door ice and water are nice features, although one learns quickly to hold the glass up close to the spigot or it will shoot ice out all over the floor. The stainless steel finish doesn't show fingerprints and has been easy to keep clean. The door shelves are quite roomy and hold more than expected.

Nice Refrigerator - customer service problem
Posted by: IdahoCustomer from: on
This refrigerator was delivered at noon on a Thursday. Before the delivery people left I asked what the beeping/chiming noise was. He had never heard it before but guessed it might be because the fridge was warm. I looked in the manual many times but could find anything about the chiming except for a door alarm. I looked up online and found it is a problem and called the local Boise store on Franklin. I was pretty much put off, asked if I'd purchased geek squad insurance and told to call them. The person at geek squad had me do a few things and then said a technician would need to come out. The first scheduled appointment available was in 7 days - NOT ACCEPTABLE. There are 3 chimes that can be heard all over the house that go off every 30 seconds. I called the local store again and they could not do anything or have any influence over the appointment because Best Buy uses contractors although they are working to bring repair people onto BEst Buy rolls. I told them to bring back my old refrigerator (which was on its last legs) - the soonest they could get a replacement refrigerator was in a month. I ordered another one - same - from Home Depot who could deliver in 2 weeks. Friday morning I called the Geek Squad again and talked with a terrific agent - RIck who worked very hard and communicated with me about progress - he was able to get an appointment for later that same day!!!! Kudos to him. The repairmen came about 5:30 p.m. - worked about an hour but finally were able to determine that a connection in the panel on top of the refrigerator was loose. In the meantime, the fridge was not cooling down like it should have over 24 hours and the water dispenser stopped working. They determined that it was a faulty water filter which I had to go to the store in BOise to pick up - they did not have one and sent me to their Nampa, ID store that had only 1 in stock thank goodness. Water filter works very well. The fridge/freezer also cooled down to appropriate levels within 2 hours so apparently that was also connected to the loose wire. I really like the refrigerator - not the local store for customer service. The Geek Squad was excellent once I got the right person who cared enough to help me out. I don't think I'll go back to Best Buy again, although I will buy LG products again.

I wanted a Samsung side by side but it did not come in the 33 inches. I purchased this LG and it is fantastic. I have a Large family and this refrigerator holds everything that we need, it is very quiet and I am very satisfied with this refrigerator. I have a separate upright freezer.
