This LG tv has a good picture.
It was the best sound of all the TV's I've tried...which is 3 of the 4k 65inch.
One was Samsung
One was Sony
and this one.
Samsung had the best picture (brightest and clearest). Had a nice sleek easy to use remote...which is new for them.
The sound was fair. Plenty loud and clear, but not full and rich.
The Samsung only allowed for one audio source at a time- either internal speakers or external. I like using both at the same time...it's a big feature to me.
The blacks in the Samsung weren't the best out of the box but I was able to work it out pretty much...but it was by darkening and softening the picture, but the picture was still good.
My past experience with Samsung affected my decision. I didn't have good luck with the last 3 Samsung's I have purchased. All went bad before I was ready to get rid of them....hence this purchase of a new tv now.
Sony had a great live football feature, but other than that I didn't like it at all. Sound was horrible. Good picture, good black levels, and the fastest response time for sure. A better processor I believe, but it just didn't stand out in any way compared to the others...and again the sound..awful. As a side note, the Sony does allow for external speakers, and at the same time as internal.
LG- worst response time, decent blacks, good picture, super sound. $200 cheaper than the sony, and about $50 cheaper than the Samsung.
Samsung had the best browser, LG second, and Sony had a google/android type user interface...but I didn't like it...and i'm an android/google fan. It was just sort of clunky with the remote instead of a touchscreen like a phone or tablet. So are the browsers on the other TV's but not as bad to me.
I chose this LG because although it wasn't the best in every feature, it was best in some, and good in others, and offered all the features I wanted, and at the best price.
If you are looking for a tv to mostly watch football on, get the sony.
If you are looking for a tv to play games on, get the Samsung.
If you want an all around tv with great sound, get this LG.
I had issues with both the Samsung and sony.
the Samsung would not change modes on some movies and would stretch out the screen or squish it together. even tech support couldn't help.
The sony wouldn't play any games in 4k... only 1080p..no matter what I tried. LG and Samsung both played in 4k perfectly.
The Samsung was definitely pickier about HDMI cables though. It had white speckles with the cheaper cables, where as the LG and sony did not.
Hope this helps!!

It's funny how some of these people are downing LG when Vizio Samsung all use older technology than LG do the finger test when you touch a LG tv screen nothing will happen now do the same with the other brands and watch the rainbow your finger makes it's due to outdated technology if you don't believe me do the research and find out for yourself. This LG tv is the best TV ever sharp pictures looks like you can reach out and touch the people on the TV great color I bought the 55 inch and the 65 inch and would buy another LG is truly the best I highly recommend you get LG.

I purchased this TV 4 month ago online here at BestBuy. Now suddenly the screen won't work at all anymore. The geek squad was at our house a week after the TV broke with the part they had ordered. Well that wasn’t the fix. Now he ordered an entire new 65” screen that we have to wait for until November 1st. A 4 month old TV that I don’t seem to be able to get replaced because of it “being fixable”.
The customer service is adamant about not wanting to replace the TV if it’s fixable. It makes no sense to send an entire new 65" screen to our house instead of just replacing the stupid thing and making us wait.
Overall it is a very unacceptable experience to say the least.

I can rave about the picture, but most of the 4k TV's will all have that.
The biggest surprises for me were the sound and the web/wireless.
The sound is amazing. I have a bose surround, and didn't even hook it up. no joke. I probably will just to compare, but this has a virtual surround and great speakers.
The web/wireless features worked well also. Most other TV's I've had were slow and lost connection repeatedly in my basement. This was flawless. (I've only tested it with Amazon Prime video but it ran great, and was pretty fast browsing. Not quite on par with my Roku, but faster than any other TV I've owned.
Love this thing so far. Moved from a 50in plasma with bose surround, and the movie experience was definitely a step up, even without the bose.
Also, just passing along something awesome I found out----- on the newer TV's you get the "soap opera effect" where everything looks too realistic. (to some) I hate that...so I researched, and you can turn it off!!!!! It made it much better for me. Hope it helps!

65" LG UHD

After viewing about 5 TV's, our family finally decided on this one. For the size of the TV, it was a great price! Pros: Excellent clarity, Thin, stylish, Sound is great, many features to access the TV with the cell phone. Cons: Pandora has not been given the license to have on this TV. Highly disappointed on this one!
Overall, we enjoy the TV considering we have never owned a TV this fancy or grew up with a TV like this! I would recommend if you cannot afford something more than $2000. :)

Great TV - better than expected for the $

After a month or so, I am very happy with this purchase. I am a sports watcher, and was concerned about the relatively low refresh rate. I do not notice any motion artifacts (I set many of the processor functions to low or off), and I am very glad that I did not pay an extra $500 or so for the next higher model with twice the refresh.
Absolutely no hesitation to recommend this TV for those upgrading from 1080 to 4K.

Bought this tv because the old one did not support HDCP and some channels were not available unless I change the cables back to component. Naturally in my world that meant "new TV!!""
Picture quality is amazing. The design and thin bezel look nice mounted on the wall too. Plenty of features, I am happy with this purchase.

After my Sharp Aquos 60" hdtv that was declared a lemon by the geek squad, this TV is an absolute delight. The picture is magnificant, the sound is so much better than the Sharp. Completely satisfied, I should have bought the LG in the first place.

I've enjoyed my last LG smart TV but my roommate was the one who owns it so when he left there was no question in my mind what brand I was going back to. The picture is stunning. I've had this TV for about a month and a half and I'm still finding out what it can all do. For the price this is a great option!
