Q: Availability of LG 65EC9600
A: The LG 65EC9600 is already available in select Magnolia stores and will be broadly available in early May. Check your local store for details.
Q: what about screen glare from ambient light
A: The screen has an anti-glare coating. I have not noticed any glare even in a bright room. There will be a glare on the TV when the TV is powered off.
Q: HDR Capability of 9600 & 9500 OLEDs
A: You are partially correct. There are newer builds of the EG9600 with the designation of 'UB' after the model number. These models do in fact support HDR via HDMI which would also include Dolby Vision. The models designated as 'UA' are the ones that you are correct about in your answer.
A: Don't know the refresh rate, but no problems watching football, basketball, hockey or rugby as to blurring or ghosting.
Q: why is this being clearance?
A: It's a 2015 model and no longer produced.

A: No, you can not install Video Lan's VLC player on this TV.
