Love Em, Highly Recommended!

I have bought every model of the lg tones so far and this one is definitely the best one that they've made. I have had the lg infinims for the past 9 months and completely fell in love with them. When I heard about the platinums, I wasn't sure that they'd be much of an improvement since the infinims were already really good, I was wrong big time. The audio has improved, the bass is a lot better, they are virtually weightless (cant even feel the weight of them around my neck) and I seriously appreciate the greatly improve noise isolation! If you have the infinims and are on the fence about upgrading then this comment is for you. Its definitely worth the upgrade! A big improvement on the lg infinims, you wrong regret buying these.

Not as good as prior silver infinum
Posted by: Fran74 from: on
I dont care for the buttons on this set as compared to the larger easier to use buttons on my previous silver infinum. The button for on/off takes quite a bit of force to move. Lastly, when I put my cell in my back pocket I get a garbled sound which is gone when I remove it from my pocket. (New iphone 6s -tried using another bluetooth headset and didnt have the same issue so ruling out the phone as the issue) also, I dont feel I have as much distance to go as I did with my previous infinum. (Only reason I had to get a new headset was because I broke my other set during a horseback riding unscheduled water event)
Overall though, the headset is better than the regular tones as the harmon kardon speakers provide great sound. I love the fact that the ear buds are retractable as opposed to just hanging. Ive tried many bluetooth headsets and none compare to these , even if they arent as good as the previous silver infinums.

I was excited to get this headset because of the sound quality. FYI's: The hardware itself is softer than the Infinium; so use care with it. I suggest using a sports, sweatproof earphone if working out. Does not fit the case that is sold for the LG's. They're too big.

As a big fan of the previous LG tone models, I couldn't wait for this product to be released. The sound quality is excellent for both calls and music and the controls are much improved over past models.

Nice sound, but...
Posted by: nixil from: on
I was hesitant to buy these, because I have used a small Plantronics ear bud for a long time. I decided to give it a try when I started having trouble with my old Bluetooth. I like the sound that these have, and I think that they are pretty nice, but the main problem that I have with them is the reception is not that great. In fact, it's kind of bad. With the Plantronics ear bud I could be a long ways away from the phone, and it would still work fine, but with these, they stop working with only a few feet from the phone. The battery life is pretty awesome, and the sound is great, just don't plan on straying form the phone! As far as recommending to a friend, I wish there was a maybe button. i'll probably put yes, but it would be after telling them about the drawback. Theses are expensive headphones to have this problem.

The Best LG Headset ever made
Posted by: titanreceiver from: on
I have been a long time fan of the LG Tones. The new Platinums are coded as the HBS 1100. These are a big step up even from the old and new infinims. First of all the build of the headset is sturdy yet still light. The headset is a little longer than the previous generation making for a comfortable drape around the neck. The top part is still flexible without feeling cheap so they aren't as rigid as the first gen infinims. Aluminum accents are everyone on this thing complimented by brushed plastic. The earbuds are made from the aluminum making the headset feel much more premium. The sound has improved leaps and bounds over previous generations. You can take full advantage of all the improvements only if you have a LG G5, but for such small drivers the base is rich and present but not overpowering, and the mids and highs are well balanced with no distortion even at higher volumes. The earbuds are comfortable and can be worn for hours on end. Of course retractable earbuds make a return here as well. Last and favorite part is the dual mic noise cancelling for phone calls. Previous tone headsets would allow background noise in during a call, but these are now the perfect music listening and phone call taking headset and the 200$ price tag is well worth it. If you want all the great features but don't need the premium build, go with the second gen infinims for 149$ but I am incredibly happy with the Platinums.

Really nice headset
Posted by: Paulie from: on
I love the feel of these new headsets. Very nice design, feel weightless on the neck. Audio sounds crisp and clear, my only complaint is they are not loud enough. I tried on my friends HBS-910 (latest infinim model) and they are much louder, while keeping the sound clarity intact.

Good sound but....
Posted by: DownInTexas from: on
I'm a big fan of LG products and having the LG G5 felt that this headset would be a great match. I did my research and bought them. I have to say that the sound is very very nice. I you can truly notice the difference when playing music. The build quality it decent and I haven't had any problem with the battery running out after hours of use. I like that it will do text to voice for text msgs it saves me from having to check my phone when I'm running or busy. I have one complaint though, the connection is flaky. With my phone in my pocket it will frequently cut out momentarily. It doesn't loose the connection with the phone but it will randomly cut-out as if I were out of range or something.

LG Headset 1100
Posted by: blackbird72 from: on
I had a set of LG HBS 910s and the recoil failed on one side and I went back to replace it and they no longer stock it at Best Buy, The new headset HBS 1100 seemed sturdier and do recoil the earbud much nicer, but they changed the phone pick up button and I find myself fiddling try to find it. Other than that they are a nice headset.
