Good solid performance Posted by: from: on Currently running the EA7500 series from Linksys; when they offered to have me test this one in exchange for my honest review I accepted. Right out of the box, you can tell it's going to be a solid router. The plastic is solid and packaging is great, the setup CD covers most installation configuration and it has a mounting template to print makes choosing a location that much easier. I've run this as a standalone and found great speed but got a little lagging when we used several cell phones at once. Perhaps because it only has two antenna? And coverage was about average with noticeable drop at about 60 feet. I then set up as a repeater... Using both bridge & repeater modes. It's not too happy doing that duty. It's a little glitchy and only wants to work on the 5ghz band, 2.4ghz drop off about 12 feet away. Overall, a solid performance, easy instructions and great looking. I'd probably hold out for the 7500 series though. Poor instructions, but really one of the best I've ever seen.

5G Band Drop-out Posted by: from: on I am having continuous problems with 5G band. The 5G band frequently disconnects/dropouts while 2.4 GHz band seems okay. I tried several things, moving router to different places, keeping the access device very close to the router, updating firmware, reinstalling the router again and again, changing the channels, but nothing seems working. This happens not just in one device, but in several devices. I am aware this kind of 5G dropout was an issue in the earlier Linksys models, but it seems Linksys still has not improved its hardware/firmware, but only keep setting the price to high. This does not work as dual band router at all.

Great Router!!! Posted by: from: on Ok, so the WRT1200ac is finally up and running. I had to clone the MAC address of my old router which I figured out after some trial and error trying to get this one to connect to the net. I guess the cable company thinks my old router (Linksys EA6400) was their equipment, which it is NOT! The range of the wifi in the 2.4ghz band is great and the 5ghz band is good. I have this router on the second floor of a 3300 Sqft house and the wifi coverage seems good. I consider myself to have an advanced knowledge of networking but feel like this router would be easy for the average home user to set up and use. I have included some pics of speed tests I have ran on different days and times. My internet plan provides me with 100mbps of download and 10mbps of upload speed, which I am exceeding. I set the old router up in bridge mode and am using it as an access point, it seems to be working well. I received this product free from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback.

Linksys Posted by: from: on Our upload & download speeds for our wifi devices was 1/3 the speed promised by our internet provider. We decided to replace our router and selected a mid-price Linksys unit suggested by a Bestbuy associate. We had the Geek Squad come to our house and help us with the installation of the router, plus help with a few other tech challenges we were having. Once installed, our speeds increased tremendously, and we couldn't be happier with the Linksys and the Geek Squad.

Best Brand In My Opinion Posted by: from: on It was late last summer when we were moving and decided we would buy a new router for our computer. Our other router was well over a decade old and was beginning to show signs of old age, but still pretty much worked fine. Still, we wanted to get a fresh new one for our move. We went in search of a router and bought a Netgear router. It was all fine and dandy until five months later when our internet just came to a screeching halt. After troubleshooting with one of the Netgear representatives online, we got no where with them and they wanted money to try to fix the problem. I was incredibly livid about this considering the item was just five months old and we spent a LOT of money on it. I told them to forget it and I was going to just buy a new one from one of their competitors. My husband and I took off back to Best Buy in search of a different brand of router. I don't know why we switched brands to begin with since our old Linksys router never gave us any problems. We went back with this Linksys model and so far have had no problems with it. Setup was incredibly easy and our internet is moving very fast now. No problems that we've experienced at all yet. I am hopeful that this router will be just as good as the one that served us well for over 10 years.

My new router with eight gigabit ethernet ports! Posted by: from: on I got this router last Tuesday. Immediately upon opening the shipping box, a label on the front of the router box caught my eye. It read, " 3-Year Warranty + 3-Year Tech Support $200 Value." Wow! I never heard of that before. Immediately upon examining the router, I noticed the eight Gigabit Ethernet ports on the back, Finally! I quickly tried to evaluate my need to determine which of my lucky devices would populate those port. Ultimately they were, one HP Stream running my Plex server, two Linksys media hubs, one Philips Blu-ray disc player, one LiftMaster my Q, one Tablo one Wii U U, and one for use in setting up PCs in my small office/home office business. I also populated both of the USB port with identical Iomega hard drives also used with my Plex server. For whatever reason, one port is USB 3.0 while the other remains USB 2.0. The only hiccup that I experienced was connecting to a Linksys Wireless‑AC USB Adapter, but once I upgraded the drivers to current, it connected worked fine.

Outstanding Router!!! Posted by: from: on I previously had a Linksys AC1200 router (back when Cisco owned Linksys) it had to be rebooted more than it should have, now that Belkin owns Linksys the quality is back! This router has amazing coverage, I have a 3 bedroom home and I can connect to it with full strength anywhere in my home, and as a bonus in every square inch of my yard outside my home!! And the router itself has the Classic Blue look of the original Linksys router which is really cool to me (personal preference)

Great investment. Huge difference. Covers 1/2 acre Posted by: from: Canton, OH on I got this for $99 on sale from $149, so it was well worth the money. Speeds are much higher. Very easy to set up. Took less than 5 minutes to physically connect it, and change the SSID (network name) and password so that it was encrypted. I checked all four corners of a 100x200 lot and it connected at the highest speed at all four corners. Like I said, well worth the money. Get it on sale...

Works like a champ! Easy to set-up and get rolling Posted by: from: on When our previous Linksys wireless router decided to up and die on us after many years of faithful service, replacing it with another Linksys seemed like a no-brainer. It works like a champ..was easy to set-up...and is faster to boot. We are quite pleased with our purchase.

Excellent Router Posted by: from: on I bought this router in February 2016 to replace a ARRIS router/modem from Time Warner. There were two reasons why I switched over to the Linksys 1200 AC. First, I got tired of paying Time Warner to rent their outdated equipment (3 years @ $9.99/month). And second, my home is fairly large and I was actually using a separate Netgear wireless router to provide signal to a separate section of my home but was hit and miss sometimes. Once I deactivated the router function of the ARRIS by calling Time Warner and connected a ARRIS SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 I also bought at Best Buy and I was set. Time Warner even allowed me to keep their ARRIS because I still needed the modem portion of that box for my home telephone line. The setup was a breeze and this one router covers my whole house (4000 sq. ft.) and back patio with no problem. The Linksys has a user friendly IOS app which allows you to do any changes while either at home or away from your home. You won't be disappointed.
