amazing work for all past and current fans

As a Linkin Park fan since 2000, i was very disappointed with their last release, 2010's "A Thousand Suns", but with "Living Things", they make an explosive return! They put elements from all 4 of their past albums into one including album artwork, tracklisting, track length, album length, NO cursing for the first time since 2003's "Meteora", and the theme of the music. They turn their old-school teen anger/hurt into adult anger/hurt. As a fan from the beginning, you would really appreciate and enjoy what they put together. I listened to this and my jaw instantly hit the floor in awe. I completely recommend this to any Linkin Park fan past and present, they deserve the support!

Nothing makes you want to put it down....

I have followed and loved the music LP has put out for over 10 years. The last album was a bit of a departure, but a welcome addition none the less. My hope was that the next album would rock HARD, but I was disappointed. Don't get me wrong...I still enjoy the album, but I miss the intensity of Meteora and Hybrid Theory. Not sure if it's the "Transformers Effect" or what, but when my wife can listen to all the songs on an album and never once give me that "maybe you should turn that down a bit" look, I feel I've lost a great workout partner. I know...I know,,, a band has got to grow/can't be mired in the past/blah, blah, blah. I just hope one turn of LPs evolution finds the band regressing a bit.

This new album will satisfy any type of LP fan. From the Hybrid Theory times to the A Thousand Suns. This album really shows the final product of LP's evolution over the years. Like many people say, I can now workout to LP's music again! YOU MUST EXPERIENCE "LIVING THINGS".

Worth a Listen

Linkin Park is always exploring music. Mike Shinoda even said himself there will be no Hybrid Theory 2. Each album is a take on what they are calling new "Hybrid Theories" of Linkin Park. This album is worth a listen. It's has the great sound of Hybrid Theory and Metora, it also contains the softness lullaby you would expect from Minutes to Midnight. Yes A Thousands Suns album "sound" was all over the place. Living Things album the songs flow together well giving you that new "Hybrid Theory feel." Its not like a 60 game that is made each year, its wonderful music that is handcrafted by a great band. Well worth the price. Thanks for reading.

The best LP album since Meteora!
Posted by: TongPo69 from: Nashville, TN on
I've been a fan of LP from the beginning, but the last couple albums just haven't done anything for me. This album isn't as heavy as when they first came out, but it brings back that Linkin Park sound from the first couple albums. It's a good listen.

Great, "New" & "Old" LP
Posted by: CoStar15 from: on
I like Linkin Park, and every album, now this is a combination of their ither albums and a comeback from there 2010 album, A Thousand Suns. Now for the people who don't like it think about it, if they went and did the same style as Hybrid or Meteora up to now, you'd probably get sick of it or it would get old, right? The thing is, the music doesn't have to be evolved around you, you're all greedy. Realize this, if as you get old you mature, they wrote the first 2 as teens and early 20s, now they change. Get over it, they grew up, maybe you should too.
