Feels Like a Mac KeyBoard

I'm a die-hard Apple fan, and really wanted to get the Smart Keyboard and Silicone case to go with my new iPad Pro, but with the short supply of the Smart Keyboard, on top of the fact that a Apple back case (silicone case) and the keyboard would cost $100 more than doing the Logitech Create one, which has full body protection of the iPad, I decided to try it. Boy am I happy.
Key strokes and spacing are almost identical to my MacBook Pro Retina, and if blindfolded and asked to type on each one, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Overall, the price savings and protection this one item gives me compared to two items from Apple, I'd recommend that anyone buying a new iPad Pro consider this Smart Keyboard and case before the apple counter-parts.

Loving it so far

I like this keyboard just fine, in spite of some of the negative comments I've seen elsewhere. It was easy to insert the pad, the pad's volume/lock keys work fine (tho the keyboard volume and lock keys are more convenient). The lit keys are sweet. It inverts flat no problem. The weight actually adds to the stability and my overall security -- I've already cracked screens on two earlier iPads. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to keep it, though Best Buy gives till January for returns over the holidays in case something even better comes along.

very good product

I prefer this keyboard over the one that Apple sells, because it is less expensive and it does come with Backlit Keyboard....The Apple one does not. It offers better protection to the iPad Pro, but it is slightly heaver...not enough to be concerned about though. You'll pay $10 to $20 bucks more for the Apple Keyboard that's made for the iPad Pro. It's your Choice!

Don't hesitate to buy

I decided on this keyboard case over the Apple one because it seemed more sturdy. This one is perfect for holding your iPad Pro on your lap or sitting it on the arm of your recliner while using. (sectional sofa with no chance of iPad falling in floor) Love the feel of the keyboard. It is set up like the one that I use on my Mac so no awkward searching for keys. If you are going to be using you iPad Pro anywhere other than a desk or table, I recommend this one. Sure, it is a little bit heavier than the Apple one, but that is part of what makes it so sturdy and more like a laptop when you are using it.

So glad I purchase this keyboard instead of the Apple keyboard. It protects the entire iPad. I purchased the red cover with the gold key pad. Looks great with my gold iPad. The keys are very easy to use and once the iPad is connected it is very stable. It has more features than the Apple keyboard and was $20 less. Great product and value!! Check it out before you make your purchase.

Perfect Keyboard Solution for iPad Pro
Posted by: rlog from: on
Picked one up at Best Buy this evening. Had ordered the Apple keyboard, but it still had 4 weeks back order, so when I saw this along with the positive reviews here and elsewhere, decided to cancel the Apple one and go with the logitech keyboard. It offers adequate protection for the iPad and is easy enough to set up. Love the backlit keys and the top row function keys for volume, dimming, task switching, etc. I am very satisfied and do not regret getting this, I think it's actually more functional than the Apple one and it's a little less expensive. Very good quality build and feel.

Love everything, the small flaw is how hard you need to push for volume control.

Excellent all around keyboard

I bought the Apple keyboard and was sorely disappointed so I bought the Logitech and have been super impressed and happy ever since. Here's the Pro/Con list:
- Keyboard is awesome to use and has keys for volume, backlight, etc.
- Case is sturdy and protects the iPad Pro fully
- Way more functional then the Apple one because of the functionality
- Heavy and sometimes cumbersome if you aren't using the keyboard
- Couple keys I wish existed that don't.
- One position only with the keyboard in use. Same with Apple one though.
I found this keyboard vastly superior to the Apple one and would highly recommend it over that one after trying both. It's critical to treat the iPad Pro as close to a laptop as you can also. I replaced my MacBook Air with the iPad Pro and this keyboard and so far it's been a great experience. Hard to get used to using fingers versus Mouse/trackpad but it grows on you over time and you start to like it better I think.

Wait a bit before purchasing
Posted by: xgc77 from: on
When I first purchased this keyboard, things worked great, but after the iOS 9.2 update, this keyboard is sluggish to the point where it is not usable. I spend more time hitting the backspace key to correct missed letters than anything else. I contacted Logitech, and their response is to send a replacement -- but after talking to the Apple Store folks, since this is a third party accessory, they don't guarantee compatibility. I would definitely wait on purchasing this product until after this issue is addressed. Scratchers the Ipad Glass
Posted by: DaHammer from: on
Worked fine initially, then I noticed the top and bottom part of the ipad Pro screen has scratches from the case where it touches. They will not come out............basically destroyed the ipad glass
