Very limited

Posted by: Nannaof2 from on 04/05/2016I do not like the fact you cannot choose to record..and rely only on the apps discretion on what it wants to record.. have tested it and it rarely records any activity when not viewing live..it is only good for checking in on pets or a baby monitor using LIVE... might as well get the Nest.. was worried about the monthly charge for recording storage but the nest is a better camera, might as well use it without the service..basically getting the same thing. We already returned the first one we got for being broken.. am seriously thinking of returning this.. Hate also they had absolutely no instructions but spent money on fancy Apple type packaging.

GREAT,WOULD RECOMMEND

I already was really enthusiastic when unpacking the box, because the circle looks really cool and the packaging is really cute and simple. I mainly bought the cam to keep an eye on my little child when he's sleeping in his own room upstairs. But seeing how easy it is to use and to move around the room, I have also used it to check on my pets when I'm going out for a walk or when I'm at work. Because it's so easy to use and light, it's easy to move around the house and install it on the top of a closet or something. Connecting the cam with my smartphone was also pretty easy, i just needed to download the app, set the wifi settings and i could directly use the cam. But the cam is also usable when your not on your home wifi! I received this product to test from the Review Club, but the review and my thoughts are all mine and have not been influenced!

Nice little camera for the home

Posted by: FTmom from on 03/27/2016I have been using the Logi Circle for over week and it has been a good addition to our home security system. It is not big but gives a wide, clear view of the room it is in. I also like the sleek design and the ease of getting it up and running shortly after taking it out of the box. There were not a lot of instructions given but I was able to get it working even though I'm not the most technical! It also has been useful to be able to move it to another room without having to move the charging unit. You do need to have strong WIFI otherwise it tends to freeze when viewing. The battery life of the camera off the charger could be longer but as long as you are aware that it won't last all day off the charger, it's not a big deal. The Logi Circle is a product I would recommend to family and friends. The product was provided to me for testing purposes without any obligation other than to give an honest review.

This camera works very well.

Great camera, simple setup and use

Posted by: Jr929 from on 03/18/2016I bought several of these cameras to use around the house after seeing a relative use them to watch his dogs while he was at work. They work wonderfully, and we're very easy to set up. Very clear picture, perfect night vision, and easy to move around the house when needed. I haven't needed to use the internal battery yet, as I have them plugged into a power source at all times, so I cannot comment on that feature. But overall, a great product and very easy to use.

Great camera to be extra set of eyes

Posted by: sverdin from on 03/17/2016The Logi Circle has been put at my disposal by the Review Club for testing purposes without any obligation but to provide my opinion on this product. I decided to use the Logi Circle to monitor and capture any outdoor activity occurring within the Logi Circle's viewable range when the device was placed in a window overlooking my frontal porch area. Initial setup was quick and easy – only taking minutes from the time I opened the box until the time the Logi Circle was in operational status with my home Wi-Fi router and smartphone. I fine-tuned the placement of the Logi Circle then left it alone to do its work. I was curious to view the Logi Circle's live presentation on my smartphone. I was impressed with the wide range-of-sight captured by the Logi Circle. I was able to view my entire front door/front porch area, driveway, front yard, plus areas beyond my household property – with no visual distortion at all. I found the the Logi Circle to be really good at capturing actual movement of animate objects (such as individuals, automobiles...) while ignoring non-event items such as tree limbs being blown by the wind and similar. The Logi Circle has built-in night vision capabilities to allow it to capture and record motion detected in darkness. In my application of the product, the built-in night vision function was actually a hindrance to viewing at night. I determined the root cause of this to be the several layers of glass in my storm window. I decided to test the camera's ability to function at nighttime with the night vision disabled – problem solved – the Logi Circle worked just fine without night vision enabled. The Logi Circle captures and records each incidence of detected motion. Each incidence can be viewed at the user's convenience by viewing each incidence one-by-one on your smartphone. Or, alternatively, there is a “Day Briefs” icon that can be touched to replay the previous 24-hr period's incidents of detected motion in a 30-second recap. Each type of playback (individual events and “Day Briefs”) can be saved to your smartphone. There was a day when I had to travel out-of-town but was expecting UPS delivery. Although many miles away, I was able to pull out my smartphone and verify exactly when the UPS driver made delivery. This enabled me to then make a phone call to a neighbor to pick up and hold for me the delivered-package until I returned home the next day. Overall, I was pleased with the Logi Circle as it sufficiently-handled the applications I was seeking to use it for. There are many other potential applications of the Logi Circle beyond what I used and tested it for – it would just take time to test the product in various other environments and applications, and to measure and analyze performance in those other environments and applications. But for my primary intent of usage, the Logi Circle was satisfactory and I would recommend to others to purchase.

perfect little camera

The fun part when checking up on your pets is that you can talk from your phone, directly trough the speaker of the cam. The dog was really shocked when I told him to get off the couch while i was out!! Connecting the cam with my smartphone was also pretty easy, i just needed to download the app, set the wifi settings and i could directly use the cam. But the cam is also usable when your not on your home wifi! I received this camera to test from the Review Club with no obligation but to share my opinion about it online!

Logi Circle

Posted by: ron43062 from on 03/14/2016I've had the pleasure of testing the Logi Circle for a short time now. Overall the camera works very well and was simple to set-up and figuring the controls was easy enough. The picture and sound quality were very good considering the 720 setting. It would be nice, however, to be able to set up the program on your pc. It would also benefit by being able to control the position of the camera. Though it picks up most of a large room the fisheye effect can make the edges a little blurry and around a light source the picture has a tendency to flare, but the distortion is minimal. The "press to talk" feature is nice, stopped my dog from laying on the babies blanket, man was he shocked. Also with not being able to add the program to a pc, and no tablet, the video, because it does have a large viewing angle, can lose the details viewing on a phone screen being so small. The battery life averaged around 5-6 hours depending on camera use. Overall, for the price and the features, I think this product is great. And if the small issues are addressed it would only get better I would recommend this product to all my friends and family. And if the small issues are addressed it would only get better. Good job Logitech!
