Bad Quality Control Dept
Posted by: jcavila from: Houston, TX on
So disappointed! Like others I, too, got a defective disc. No audio from the right channel. Bass is tinny and her voice is mixed horribly. Echoing like crazy.. like your sitting in the last row and at times (her vocal) the only thing you can hear. Not cute. On top of that the picture is filtered/processed to the max! Extremely washed out. Overexposed to the point that all you can see is Madonna's eyes and lips. And the editing.. Terrible! I follow her on Facebook and remember her posting how hard they were working on the editing and equalizing of the colors and picture. She personally oversaw the production. How did this happen!? The camera never stays put for more than a few seconds. It truly makes you dizzy.
I saw this tour from her Golden Triangle and it was amazing! I planned a whole party around the release of this bluray. I have a reference quality system. Sticky & Sweet is one of the most amazing concerts. I play it all the time for people and they are blown away. Crystal clear picture and the most amazing sound!
I guess I can live with the picture but the lack of a right channel of sound along with no bass completely ruins the experience. I bet you Madonna is furious right now. Her fans certainly are. There should be an address where you mail this disc and get a guaranteed non-defective replacement. Looks like I'll be cancelling my viewing party. Ugh!

5.1 sound defect in rear right speaker
Posted by: bep76 from: lake city, fl on
I spent 2 hrs rearranging speakers trying to figure out why I was not getting sound out of my rear right speaker for dts hd ma 5.1. 2.0 worked but the quality was not 5.1. Then I get on blu ray forums and see that all the blu rays have this issue. I know best buy doesn't let you returned open DVDs/blu rays, so what is this madonna lover to do?

MDNA blu ray
Posted by: tashapa from: feasterville , pa on
please tell me something is going to be done about the blu ray of the MDNA tour . It is horrible , I've been a fan of Madonna's since the start of her career and my old dvd copies of past tour's sound 100% better than MDNA . I hope they recall them because of all of the complaint's listed elsewhere on the internet

Blu Ray 5.1 sound is defective
Posted by: djxenergy from: Kentucky on
The Blu Ray captures the amazing show that was MDNA. However, very disappointed that the 5.1 surround sound is defective - Blu Ray is only watchable / listenable when playing the 2.0 sound option. Apparently, this is an issue across the globe with MANY defective copies of Blu ray and DVD. Very disappointed after waiting so long for the release.

Defective DTS HD Master 5.1 Audi
Posted by: 123abs from: tri-state area on
As written on numerous forums, the DTS 5-1 master audio tracks are missing the right front and rear channels and numerous other mastering issues. Shameful that has been noted weeks ago with the European release and the discs are still beeing shipped.

Great Concert - Awful Sound

Amazing show that is sullied by the poor sound. Don't waste your money on the Blu-Ray, The surround sound does not work at all!

another great tour by Madonna, wish it was packaged in a more sturdy case instead of that cheap plastic CD style case, still a decent price.

5.1 audio disaster
Posted by: SDGill from: San Diego, CA on
I returned mine to best buy because of this last week. They wanted me to try another. I said no we can test it here in store cuzz I don't wanted to waste gas on another trip I had already read the reviews on other forums. The store I went to didn't have a 5.1 channel surround sound that was up & running to test them so they ended up refunding.
Then just the other day from Madonna's website in behalf of her label:
"Interscope Records would like to make consumers of Madonna's MDNA World Tour Blu-ray disc aware that the concert will be seen at its most optimal quality by properly adjusting the settings on your television to "Normal/Movie" mode rather than "Dynamic/Enhanced" mode.
Older Blu-ray players or those without a firmware upgrade may experience glitches when navigating the Blu-ray menu. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to upgrade firmware.
Due to an error in manufacturing that has compromised the 5.1 audio in the US, a full recall of the Blu-ray disc will be issued in the US. No other markets will be affected.
We apologize for this inconvenience. "
So now we wait for the recall & a re-release of a disc that works properly. I rated this 1 star because sound is integral to a concert movie. Anyway. Hope they get it right soon.
