Best Tablet for Kids - No Question5

I bought this to replace my 2-and-a-half year old daughter's Leap Pad (which had been a disappointment). Here are my top reasons why the Nabi Jr is better than the Leap Pad (in no particular order):
1. Numerous higher quality aps for the target age group
2. Superior screen resolution
3. comes with built in WiFi and Bluetooth for no additional cost
4. comes with rechargeable battery for no additional cost
5. Lots of free aps! - really, for my 2.5 year old, the free aps the Nabi Jr came with are likely to be enough to last her at least a year or two
6. Lots of good lower cost aps ($1 to $5 each)
7. Faster processor
8. Secure "mommy/daddy" mode lets you use it too (for your own email, web browsing, etc)
Just so that I don't sound like I'm selling these things, I'll include a few weaknesses:
1. volume doesn't get very loud
2. although it has a slot for a stylist, it doesn't come with a stylist. Instead, the slot contains a "fake" stylist with a sticker on it, telling you not to use it as a stylist. (I do think that's kinda lame)
3. accessories (other than aps) are limited and pricey20 out of 20 found this review helpful.

Great tablet well beyond expectations! My daughter loves to play the puzzles and tangrams. I downloaded even more apps from the Amazon play star. Dr panda games work perfectly and dr Seuss ebooks. Well worth the money and you don't have to worry about batteries and expensive game cartridges! No stylus but has a filler. I bought a a crayon stylus for her. The camera work just fine has two covers on the lens i suggest you peel off for best picture.6 out of 6 found this review helpful.

Me and my wife bought the Leap Pad 1 for my son at Christmas. It's......... ok. But this thing (Nabi Jr.) is off the meter!!!!! It comes with real apps of kids, WiFi and video cam (front & back). The Leap pad came with none of the stuff I just mention. Go get you one!!!!27 out of 30 found this review helpful.

I love this tablet Im been waiting for it until finally released. My kids love it too whats best about this is that you don't have purchase 100s of batteries or $24+ cartridges ever, you can easily download amazon app and download more educations apps for the kids. So far this is the best tablet for toddler, love the design, camara quality is not bad at all , easy to use for my 2 and 3 yrs old.17 out of 18 found this review helpful.

This children's tab is great! You can download from the kid friendly Nabi store or download the Amazon App store. It has a little less pixels but due to the smaller 5" size it evens out and looks good. The camera is only 2 mega pixels, but that's enough for a child. It has two plastic (disposable) covers you will need to remove to get the best picture quality. All the apps downloaded quickly, although it does depend on your wi-fi service. Wings and the stylus does not work for now, but will be available soon. Most important note... It is very parental controlled unless you add amazon. You have to go into your amazon settings, not the nabi settings, and disable in-app purchases. I would definitely recommend it! Side bonus, in the password protected parent mode it turns into a real tablet with browsers and whatever else you would like to download.16 out of 18 found this review helpful.

I bought this for neighbor
Whats good
Apps arn't trails they are full apps
Bad?
you name it
Wings doesn't work due out next month
some reviews say it has nick jr apps
WRONG due out at a update in future
the app draw is near impossible to touch without opening a app
screen is way to small
camera takes real poor pictures
some apps goes black screen before opens up
It says 4gb memory BUT after hardware its only around 2gb memory
rotating camera is real easy break and fall off, took my neighbors kid about half hour before it was broke and i took it back and bought her a innotab 2
there isn't any internet kid browser, so basicly its a innotab 2 design with fancy android label same amought memory,
video playback is sluggish and slow at best
"menu" is tough to touch, and take good 4 to 6 minutes get into parent mode
NO STYLAS PEN YOU GET PLACEMENT HOLDER AND WILL HAVE BUY ONE AT FUTURE DATE
My advice, get a leappad 2 or innotab 2 or spend the extra 100 bucks and get nabi 2 which i've got and was reason i bought this for neighbor's child great disappointment in general20 out of 67 found this review helpful.
