DO NOT BUY!!!

Posted by: MoneySaverMI from on 05/22/2013THIS TABLET IS JUNK! DO NOT BUY!!! We have had nothing but problems with this tablet. Not only does it not have the full droid library (which for kids is something we needed), it has had so many issues with the tablet itself. First we had video issues and had to pay to ship it to Nabi to get it fixed (because we were past the 15 day return policy, otherwise we would have returned this tablet), got it back and 2 weeks later our sound went bad, again had to pay to ship it to Nabi. They sent us a replacement (which was hard to get them to do) and now the sound on the new one is bad. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! We have an iPad as well and will not buy anything else besides an iPad again! We learned an expensive lesson!!!

Posted by: DevansGA from Atlanta, GA on 05/20/2013Our family has had the Nabi XD for about a month now and we love it. It's light, portable, and everyone in the family wants to use it. I got it originally so my youngest could review for state tests (4th grade). She got sick at school the week before testing and I was panicked about how I could help her review. I'd been eyeing the Nabi 2 but it seemed a little small and my 10 year old would soon be outgrowing it. Being the mom of a 13 year old as well the XD seemed more appropriate as well as bigger and sleeker for adult use. I'm using it at work and the kids use it at home to play games and review for school. The best part though is that I can look up their grades online and instead of having to call them over to look on the computer I can just hand them the tablet and have them take ownership. It does have a chore list that I like but I prefer to have the kids check off their own chores. The built in app has the parents check them off.
I would add one warning, my 10 year old snuck the tablet into her room one night and watched hours of Disney Channel shows on Netflix before she conked out. Make sure you supervise it's use. You can put it in Kid mode to keep this from happening but if the adults are using it more it's easy to forget and leave it in Mommy mode. I also like to use it to read at night to keep up on blogs, work, and industry articles. I used to read online from the discomfort of my desk or squint at my phone to get the latest news. Now I can kick back in bed and read away. It also has little raised corners which makes it easier to hold and carry around the house. I also got it to watch Netflix on the treadmill but the sound is pretty weak and I can't hear much over the motor. I'm going to try it with headphones but haven't had a chance yet. Overall it's a great value for families, including working moms, as it's so portable and functional for kids and adults.

Posted by: salesmej1 from weslaco, tx on 05/04/2013Overall we are satisfied. The size of screen is great. We love that we can set limits and access to what our children can play with. We arent extremely fond of the audio or camera quality, it could be better. It will be great as our children get older, it will grow with them. I wish Nabi would come up with a protection bumper soon.

Posted by: Ambicion from Brownsville, Tx on 05/03/2013Great tablet for kids and adults. In child mode the tablet is limited and does not let children access web sites that are not good for children. On adult mode you are able to surf the web as usual. Over all it is a great tablet the only draw back is that you don't have access to Google play.

Can't get full Droid market

Posted by: NoMoreNabiForUs from Orlando, FL on 04/26/2013I was told when we purchased it that you had access to the full droid market and that was absolutely not true. Market is extremely limited. Could not even get Audible on there so we took it back.

Awesome Tablet, I want one myself.

Posted by: Loversmommy from Plant City,Fl on 04/14/2013We bought this as a belated Christmas present for my 9 year old. She loves it, we havent had any problems and we got it the first weekend it came out. She can play games on it, do educational stuff on it and the battery lasts a while, and with her thats saying something lol I love that it has the mommy/daddy feature, in case I ever want to use it, I have not restricted her on it in any way, but I can trust her. She has a friend who got a kindle for Christmas and she played with the Nabi XD and loved it much more, there is more to do on the Nabi for kids thab any other tablet out there, even without having access to Google Play. There are tons of free apps and free full length games. I am even thinking about getting one myself.
