My sister wants to marry me!
Posted by: Dval from: Clarksville, TN on
Genre: Comedy, Slice of Life
Length: 12 episodes + OVA
"HE's seeking a long and lasting relationship. Unfortunately, one of THEM is already related!
Is insanity hereditary? Shougo Mikadono's beginning to think so, because the terms of his late father's will seem crazy and following them may drive Shougo bonkers as well. Oh, it shounds simple at first: before Shougo can claim his VERY large inheritance, he just has to start attending a certain new school and find a nice girl to marry. It's a little unromantic, but perfectly do-able, right? After all, all the girls seem quite friendly, so all Shougo has to do is find one he has something in common with. Except, and here's the kicker, it turns out that Shougo has WAY too much in common with one of them, because she's actually his long lost sister! And he has no idea which one she is! Will shougo meet and court his Miss Right without committing something very morally wrong? Can he find his future bride without slipping into the wrong set of genes? And if his little sister does reveal herself, just how much will be revealed and under what circumstances? Find out as family planning takes on a whole new meaning in NAKAIMO - My Little Sister is Among Them!"
Oh great, it's another of THOSE anime series! I kind of thought this at first, but I actually enjoyed Nakaimo a lot. It's filled to the brim with fanservices and naughty bits, but it's actually got a pretty solid story around it. Shougo is truely concerned about making sure that he doesn't end up in bed with whoever might be his sister which leads to a lot of frustration on his part. What type of resolve does it take to not lift a finger when two very attractive classmates are topless in the same bed as you!? She just wants the love and attention of family that she hasn't received in years having to hide in the shadows so as to not raise a scandal and cause embarassment to the family and company. And Shougo wants to be there and protect his new family. I pretty much had the sister pegged after 2-3 episodes, but it could have gone another way.
Good storyline, solid graphic even if the backgrounds were pretty lack-luster, and a great Japanese voice cast all lend to this being a memorable series. It always helps when all of the heroines are cute and/or sexy as well. I felt that Sentai did a very subpar job with the English dub, though. I tried to listen, but the voices just didn't match up well with the characters.
Loved the series as a whole. The idea of possible incest turns some people away immediately, but it's all fantasy. I'd score the series as a 5 if not for the large amount of fanservice that it has. We get solo bathtub scenes for each of the ladies for no good reason other than some T&A. Check it out and I think you will love it just as much!
