This NETGEAR EX6150-100NAS range extender allows you to extend the coverage of your existing 802.11a/b/g/n/ac network or create a Wireless-AC access point. FastLane technology helps ensure rapid performance by using both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz Wi-Fi bands.
Very pleased with performance

My wife and I work from home and rely heavily upon our gigabit internet service. I have an Apple Airport Time Machine router in my office, which is several walls between her and her computer. I average speeds of 180mpbs because of my proximity to the router and its 5ghz band. We picked up this extender in hopes that it would extend the 5ghz band far enough for her to connect and enjoy the gigabit speeds. It delivered. She went from averaging 6-7mbps to 120mpbs on both up and download. Setup was super simple. She's happy, so I'm happy. Would recommend as a solid wifi extender.

Much better range than expected

My primary router is in the basement and two bedrooms on the second floor have always had poor WiFi. This range extender not only solved the problem in those rooms it provides 5 bars of signal in just about every room on the first and second floor.
Configuration and setup is simple using WPS and autoconfiguration. If for some reason WPS configuration isn't supported, the user interface is very easy to access and use. The extender adds additional WiFi networks that use the same names are noted by EXT after your original WiFi names. You use the same WiFi password.
With a device like this, location is critical. It needs to have a decent signal from your router so you can't really install it in an area that didn't have WiFi coverage before. There are LEDs on the front of the device that indicate if you should move the extender closer to the router or closer to the WiFi device connected.
Speed is great. Using DSLReports testing, there is no degradation in throughput. In fact, in rooms where previously the speed was less than 1/2 of the full speed of our internet connection, the speed is now the same as with a direct WiFi connection to the router.

I purchased this extender a month ago, after using the Netgear WN3000 (smaller version) for 9 months. I thought i would get a stronger and more consistent signal, which I am. I moved the smaller one to another room for the kids games and use this one in another part of the house. FYI if you ever want to reset it, use a paperclip and hold it in for 60 seconds (had to call customer support to find that part out). Works great!!! Highly recommend !!

This unit is great, it is extending both the 2.4 and 5.0 GB wireless networks, works great, it is strong and fast enough that steaming from Netflix or Hulu with NO BUFFERING, yes. The main router in my house is in the basement in the family room, this unit is plugged into the Living Room on the ground floor and also supplies a fantastic signal to the bedrooms upstairs.

Excellent range and easy set-up

I have owned previous models from Netgear and was very happy with them which made my choice for this upgraded model very easy. You simply plug it into wall socket, push a button on the router and another on the extender, and you're good to go.
Works as advertised!

Does the job it is supposed to do.

The set up was seamless. I now have access to my Wi-Fi that I did not have before, both inside and outside the house. The pricing was decent, and a Best Buy associate made this recommendation to me in-store, and I am glad I took his advice and purchased this unit.
Works well with my HP laptop and with my mobile phone, where I do not have cellular service at home and rely on Wi-FI calling and texting, now without dropped calls on my end.

Easy set up and works

Was very easy to set up and has been working well. Sometimes one of the extender channels shows red - not sure why - but it usually works itself out. We have a number of devices using wifi so this has really helped.

This was a low cost solution to our wifi problem. We were able to get the coverage we needed without adding additional service

I have an two story house and my internet was connected up stairs which slowed down the signal throughout the house. This extender changed all of that my internet runs super fast throughout my entire house now. This was well worth the price.
