Worked as advertised! Posted by: from: Northeast Ohio on I purchased this remote for my Nikon D5000 because I had some extra rewards zone money to spend. I thought for the price this was a good buy. My wife and I will be using it for family portraits without using a timer. The remote is easy to use, just go into the menu and select the remote setting. Thats it! The discription was accurate as I have been able to use it at a distance of 16 feet infront of the camera. The only thing I would like to see changed is the capability to for the IR signal to reach the camera's wireless sensor with your hand just slightly behind the camera (maybe 6 in or less), but that is just part of the technology. It's not Bluetooth. Just remember for around $18 your going to get plastic. It is not the strongest material, but will last with care.

Refreshingly Simple & Works Perfectly Posted by: from: Atlanta on The ML-L3 wireless remote is a refreshingly simple (one button...that's it) companion to your compatible Nikon camera. (NOTE: This IS compatible with the Nikon D7000/D7100...the Best Buy website does not indicate that.) As I try to pick up the mantle of photography once again, I needed a remote to trigger the shutter on my Nikon D7000. During the old days of film, I had a wired shutter release, and from that experience, I know the positives and negatives of wired remotes, so I was happy that my camera was compatible with this wireless remote. The ML-L3 is tiny--even tinier than the Best Buy in-house Rocketfish remove--but not dainty or flimsy at all. Once the included battery is loaded (pull out the plastic strip to establish contact), you just set your camera to the remote mode and it works. I have had no issues so far. I don't know how long the battery lasts or how it compares to other remotes of its type, but I like it.

People Looking for a great simple trigger Posted by: from: on Great infrared remote trigger for those looking to do some night photography that has to do with long exposures or for those times you just want to get a photo of you and your loved ones and want to be included in the shot! Perfect for studio or field work on or off a tripod! Remember it's infrared so there are caveats to this. Short distance and making sure there are no obstructions in the line of sight. Other than that, I'd recommend having one in your camera bag if you need a reliable trigger.

Wireless Remote Posted by: from: Nashville, IL on Best Buy was very helpful with this product. When I originally discovered it my camera model was not listed. After calling support they confirmed it would work. Once I received it, I love it. It works great for family pics when everyone is setting their timers I just keep hitting the remote button. It's also great for taking pics when the camera needs to be perfectly still. Enjoy.

Includes' the Photographer Posted by: from: Oxnard, CA on I love this! When I found out that this product I wanted to make sure when I purchase a new Nikon I would get this, to make sure when taking a picture everyone is included. Also, I leave my camera on connected to the tripod, and at times I would take a picture by using this remote control without anyone seeing, great way to capture everyone at their best... and worst.

Connectivity is decent Posted by: from: on It works ok I just don't like how you have to literally point the remote at a certain spot on the camera to work.

Nikon Quality Posted by: from: on I purchased the remote in order to be able to photograph celestial objects. It works quite well and the range is perfect for night work but limited to about 25 feet at the maximum.

Does not have the range Posted by: from: on This remote only works when it is in the close proximity of the camera. You move this couple feet away and there is no response. I am ok with getting closer since my photographs are mostly landscapes. But found it very annoying trying to make it work in family photographs where I need to stand too.
