Worst smartphone ever created

Posted by: from on 07/16/2014I am not sure who is writing all these positive reviews for the Z10- Blackberry employees?!! People who have owned it for 1 day? I have been using BBs for work for almost 10 years, each time a new model comes out we upgrade. Quite simply, this phone is the worst piece of junk I've ever had the displeasure of owning. Since my company has always exclusively used BB's for conducting business, my whole department switched to this model after it came out and ALL of us, not just myself, have been miserable with it ever since. Nothing works as it should- forget trying to cut/copy/paste on this touch screen! Calls are consistently dropped. Visual voicemail only works part of the time. My biggest complaint is the way the screen freezes- forcing you to repeatedly shut the whole thing down and reboot. This device has no redeeming qualities that I can think of. My advice is to RUN, RUN far away from this and any other touch screen Blackberry model as they are all terrible.

good phone for business

Posted by: from Sacramento, CA on 06/18/2014I stayed with BB because I didn't want to learn yet another operating system (was using BB Torch, android tablet and windows laptop). although there are many similarities to the BB Torch, I have had to learn an all new operating system which is what I was trying to avoid by staying with the BB phone. Also unable to pair with my headset - the BB Torch that I replaced paired nicely; the Z10 does not. Otherwise, it is a very good phone doing everything I need the phone to do.

Silky Smooth Workhorse!!
5
Posted by: from Memphis, TN on 02/24/2014This phone is a beast. First off, the phone feels great. Solid. Sturdy. I am ROUGH on phones and this thing has lasted almost a year with no case at all. I would've broken an oy!Phone in the first week. Guaranteed. The next thing is The Hub. If you don't have a hub, then your phone doesn't work correctly. All of your emails, texts, calls, notifications in one spot. You can pick what you want to see. It's something you have to see to believe. Also blows iPhone out of the water. Web pages go to desktop sites instead of mobile sites. If you don't know what that means then stop reading: you don't need a real phone. Get an iPhone. Attachments and PDFs work that don't on iPhones. Texting, emails with attachments, business calls, web browsing: all incredible. I hate virtual keyboards and huge phones but the Z10 makes it sweet. The keyboard blows the iPhone out of the water. My wife has an iPhone 5s and consistently can't do what I do with my Z10. The Z10 is a velvety monster that will make you more productive. Period. (Music, camera, videos, and all that, too) If all you do is play with apps, go get a toy phone!! The Z10 is not for you!! Go get an iPhone.

Great Smart phone. It's the smartest!

Posted by: from Orange County, CA on 11/02/2013Blackberry Z10 is easy to set up and very easy to swipe up and down; learn all the different things it will do. Blackberry has fabricated a great phone here. Once you own a BlackBerry you will never go back to any other smart phone. I have owned a lot different phones and this is the best of the best hands down! All software updates are very easy to download hassle free. You can dowload the BlackBerry Link software off of BlackBerry's website which allows you to download music from you desktop computer onto your BlackBerry Z10 phone. It's Great! Try it you'll like it. I love it...:):):):):):)

I can't believe this device hasn't caught on more

Posted by: from Harrisburg, PA on 10/13/2013I had a Blackberry Torch and liked it, so I wanted to get another Blackberry. I don't regret it in the least. There are good apps, albeit not as many as Droid or iPhone. I have been able to figure out how to use it with very little reference to manuals or online help. It is very intuitive to me, and I'm really enjoying it. The upgrades Blackberry has put into this device compared to the Torch show their seriousness for staying in the game. I don't like seeing the market being dominated by one or two, so I hope Blackberry keeps up the fight.

Outstanding Phone. Excellent alternative to Apple

Posted by: from Philadelphia,Pa on 10/04/2013This Blackberry Z10 is a phenomenal step forward. Information is easily accessible through the use of finger swipe gestures. I can immediately see with the blackberry hub whether or not I need to open an Email,Text,Bbm,or any social media application such as Facebook,Instagram, etc. I was somewhat concerned about investing into this phone due to the restructuring of Blackberry. I am however, confident that the new owners will continue to move Blackberry forward in the right direction.

great camera and easy to use

Posted by: from Victoria, Tx on 10/01/2013I love this phone! I was excited to get rid of my iPhone. I'd never had a blackberry . It was super easy to set up and use. My favorite thing is camera. The one frustrating thing was I didn't want to leave store without a case and they only had one option at three stores! They also only had one screen protector option which had to use glue- not a fan

Almost There

Posted by: from Central Illinios on 09/21/2013RIM was onto something with their Z10 idea, they only need to fix a few flaws. I like the overall look and feel of the phone, and also feels good in pocket. The user interface takes no time to learn, the new gesture system is really slick. Typing is a real breeze with the new intuitive keyboard, just flick up on the word you want. It's fast and responsive and I'll go as far as saying it blows any iphone's keyboard away. The Hub is excellent, all your mail, texts, notifications are all in one place, nice and tidy. The processor is fast and responsive and shines on games like Real Racing 3. I have encountered a few hiccups with the touch screen. The screen didn't acknowledge a tap and I had to do an exact press. Possibly a calibration issue? I've yet to figure out how to calibrate the screen though. Now there are some problems for me as I'm not impressed with the picture quality. I've taken many photo's in various lighting conditions, the results are sub par for a camera with it's specs. The good news i that you can adjust the end results with the editor. I'm still on the fence about the video capture, but I'd say it's average. There are not many ringtone choices to choose from and the ones offered are rather bland. I've seen feature phones that offer better personalization in that category. Overall the Z10 is a good choice if your a BB fan and want to experience a new OS. If you like apps then your gonna be disappointed! There's many to choose from but nothing on the level as itunes or Android.

Over all it is a great phone.

Posted by: from Atlanta, GA on 09/20/2013The picture quality is excellent, the sound is great. Using the Blackberry hub you do not have to get out of what your are currently in to answer a call or text msg. You can do more in the address book than in the previous models. The touch keys are bigger and easier to use. The only feature that this one does not have that the 9810 had is the ability to set individual ring tones for contacts text messages.
