Release Notes

Saturate [ECD]: Release Notes: Muze
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.Contains an untitled hidden track following "Shallow Bay".Breaking Benjamin: Ben Burnley (vocals, guitar); Aaron Fink (guitar, background vocals); Mark James Klepaski (bass, background vocals); Jeremy Hummel (drums, background vocals).Producers: Ulrich Wild, Bret Alexander, Paul Smith.Recorded at Larrabee East, Los Angeles, California and Royaltone Studios, North Hollywood, California. It's a testament to the conviction of Breaking Benjamin that two of its members quit another band already signed to a major label to join what was, commercially, much less of a sure thing. SATURATE's success proved them right, though. A melting pot of post-grunge riffs, nu-metal power, and classic rock accessibility, Breaking Benjamin offers something for hard rock fans of all stripes. Melodic choruses and signature riffs rub shoulders with screeching, from-the-gut vocals and amps-on-11 guitar firestorms. By paying homage to all their influences simultaneously, the band seems to have come up with a hard-hitting sound whose whole is greater than the sum of its already-impressive parts on BB's chart-bound debut album SATURATE.

Posted by: from Grand Forks, ND on 05/29/2009My least favorite of their cd's but that isn't an insault to this cd, it is a huge compliment to the others. Very good sound, every song is goood. Good cd. Side note: I think that it is funny that at the time that I am writing this, every BB cd that has reviews writen on it has a rating of 4.7.

The template for the genre

Posted by: from Ohio on 02/07/2008Ya gotta like it hard, but this album is so melodic that it would be a great album to give your MOM if you wanted to convince her that the music you listen to has value. The engineers/producers did a great job of getting the mix right, too. This album sounds great as a whisper or a holler, but be forewarned, your system may not be loud enough to satisfy your desire for MORE on songs like Polyamorous and Natural Life.

Great Band.... Good debut CD

Posted by: from Rochester, MN on 11/16/2007Polyamorous leads this CD off as one of their best singles. The rest of the CD is pretty decent and definitely a hit to pick up if you like their kind of rock. Not quite a 5 star for me because it doesn't beat their 2nd CD.

Saturate [ECD]: MUZE Review

CMJ (9/30/02) - "...[This] debut album offers heavy, yet melodic guitars over thick, bottom heavy bass and pummeling drums....Breaking Benjamin could soon be breaking big..."
