This is horrible The only thing good about it is the laser. When I go to view the camera from the app to check on my dog it goes live. I tried calling the company several times and they don't care to help. They told me it's cuz I have it set to public, I then screen shot it showing them I have it set so no one but me can see it . After I sent that they just kept telling me the same things over. Then they kept wanting me to send them screen shots but I sent them several . I added screen shots to this review so you can see what I mean when I say when it's public it's green and when it's Not public there is no light I have it set to private but still goes public I know when it's live because it says Also gives message you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can view your camera from the app, it says cuz people are ahead of you in line ??? I have other cameras in my home that I view from app and none of them give me these problems etc. So basically I find this camera very invasive and they should advertise it as a social media camera. I see other people's videos that have a lock on the pic ??? I think that means theirs are set to private too even though I can see lol It is some kind of like Facebook for pets kind of thing I'm afraid to use it cuz I know it goes public if you try to check on your pet from the app

What this product does well is have a way to interact with your pet via the laser pointer (fun!) not sure if other pets respond to the voice speaker, mine doesn't. Camera quality is ok as long as lights are on (HD model is better if your scene is not well lit). Not good for people, it's a privacy issue waiting to happen. Not everyone will understand the social media style app, which allows you to enable it to be viewable by anyone in the world! Some people are well aware and create fun scenes that don't show off their home, but others don't seem to understand that they turned the feature on and have a live camera running in their living room 24/7 (CREEPTASTIC!!!) Finally, they really try to sell you on their cloud service by automatically enrolling you in their cloud video recording. Trial is a month long, and basically records every time motion is detected. Motion notifications can be useful, However, it seems to be too easily triggered and you just get notifications of movements all day. All-in-all, if you need a pet camera solution on the cheap, this product works. Just keep abreast on how you are using it, or else be watched by the world while you are eating a whole tub of ice cream on your couch.

Overall, I think the idea behind Petcube is a great idea! My dog suffers from a Heart Condition, so I needed something to be able to monitor him while I am work. Both my mom and I purchased the PetCube for our homes. It worked great for her, since her dog is usually in one room,However, for me, my dog has a little bit of an open area and due to my house being dark even during the day, and the not being able to get the right angle, I need a camera with Night Vision. Plus my dog wasn't really into the laser as my moms dog. I opted to get a regular security camera that has the 2way communication that I love but has night vision. The PetCube does offer an upgraded version with night vision, the PetCube Play, but it was more expensive.

Customers are satisfied with the Petcube Indoor 720p Wi-Fi Camera for its easy setup, remote monitoring capabilities, and the peace of mind it provides. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the laser not being very engaging for their pets, occasional connectivity issues, and poor sound quality.
