I have to admit, I was a bit reluctant to purchase these HP because of the plastic wire that runs behind the head. I wasn't expecting to like them so much but, they have proved themselves in the 4 months I've had them.
THE GOOD: they are so light weight. you don't have that plastic sitting on your shoulders or the heavy plastic weighing you down, like the motorola HD11's. there is also no plastic squeezing your head to keep them on. The sound quality is very good. the bass sounds awesome. Also, they connect SO easily to both my Iphone and my android. They are very easy to carry, either in the cool carrying/charging case or just in your pocket. The rubber loops attached to the earbuds are very handy. You look one earbud into the loop and they stay around your neck instead of having them just hang off your shoulders. (I attacked a plastic clip to the center of the connecting wire to clip to my shirt for added security).
THE BAD: the only drawback to these (which may you may not consider a drawback) is that there is nothing holding them in place. The earbuds are basically held in place by the suction of the rubber eaRbuds themselves. they can become a bit uncomfortable if used too long (if you remove them on & off it's not a big problem). Also, after prolonged running, the sweat may cause them to want to fall out of your ears. I admit I'll have to push them back in a few times while running but, once, again. it's not a deal-breaker.
All in all, I DO like these. I am glad I purchased them and have recommended them to friends. I would probably buy another set, if something were to happen to these. I'm glad I bought them.

Extremely short battery life; bad ear fit
Posted by: christiannyny from: on
I had a great set of LG bluetooth headphones that i needed to replace b/c my pet chewed through one of the wires. I had planned on purchasing an identical set, but got sidetracked when i saw the plantronics sleek wire-only design. I looked at some reviews on line, and they we pretty solid somehow-I think most tech site reviewers were only comparing them to the previous version of plantronics bt headphones, not the market as a whole. Unfortunately, i took them on vacation and by time I got back i was past the return/exchange window.
Compared to the LGs i had previously, the plantronics are terrible! The LGs can go 2-3 days of fairly heavy use without requiring a charge; these plantronics cannot make it through a single day of casual use. I could stop using the LGs and not worry about shutting them off-the auto off after x minutes of non use was sufficent. With the LGs, ive gotten into the habit of immediately rushing to switch them off each time i stop listening to music, b/c each second of saved battery life is critical. Additionally, if you buy these, do not expect them to stay in your ears. Ive tried every set of ear plugs included, and adjusted the ear holder things a thousand times-they always fall out within a couple of minutes. And ear fit is crucial with these headphones, as plantronics stresses repeatedly that a snug fit is necessary for quality bass. Even with the plugs all the way in the quality is negligible. I didnt find them better or worse than nearly any other in ear headphones ive used, both wired and bt.
Im not trying to pitch for LG, its just the only other set of bt headphones ive used, and really had no complaints other than the plastic around neck casing being occasionally annoying, which is what attracted me to the plantronics. I will probably end up re-buying the LGs anyway, and writting these off as a loss. DO NOT BUY!!

If you're like me and you listen to music all the time, but are sick of ear-bud cords always in the way, getting tangled and shorting out, these Bluetooth buds are the answer to all of those problems.
I finally had enough of my of my standard ear-bud cords getting in the way and shorting out, so I started checking out the different Bluetooth ear-buds that are currently on the market and these looked to be about what I was looking for, reasonably priced at about $75, so I ordered them and they arrived next day for free per my wonderful Best Buy Elite Pro status. Right away I was impressed by the packaging, easy to get into, protective and had taste, not your standard plastic sealed and impossible to get into packaging.
Connecting it to my phone was as simple as turning on the ear-buds and my phone's Bluetooth and pairing the two.
At first I thought the sound quality wasn't that good, but after swapping out the medium sized ear-bud squishys for the large ones it came with, the quality greatly increased, especially the bass. The key for good sound quality in this set is proper ear seating, otherwise its just meh, it takes a few minutes to find the proper fitting spot in your ear. If you dont have the right size covers on the buds or have it rotated properly in your ear everything will sound distant, but once you've figured out the right position the sound is great, good bass, good hi's and lows, over all quite impressive for the price.
A complete charge from dead to full takes about an hour, and will last 4-5 hours depending on the volume you listen to, which for the compact size of the set is impressive. The ear-buds themselves are connected by a cord that you put around the back of your neck. The range on these is great, I work in machine shop and I can walk around my entire department without loosing any signal, after about 75-100 feet if your signal from your phone is blocked by say a corner or you bend down reception will start to cut out, but will pick back up. I should probably state I use a Samsung Galaxy S3 with the ear-buds. You can also hold phone calls with these, and will alert you if you have an incoming all. You can also you S-Voice and Siri with this set, I have S-Voice since I have the Galaxy S3 and can tell my phone what to do on the go and across the room, great for if I want to listen to something different than the music that's on my phone, just hold down the middle button on the set for a few seconds and S-Voice or Siri will activate, just say "Open Pandora" or such and it will open that app. Also when activating S-Voice it will state if you and how many new text messages you've received.
Overall A great buy that I highly recommend.

Works great and connects to my phone instantly

Fast connection (Nexus 5 Phone), Sounds are crystal clear, bass is clean and high, but not as much bass as previous generation. Bought this to replace my first gen back beat Go's, as they had, after 2 years of heavy abuse, finally stopped working properly, only one ear piece only works now.
These Back Beat Go 2's are big step up on volume, much louder then pervious gen, and sound is really clean. The first gen had much more bass, in my opinion, but the volume on these make up for it and it still has great bass.
My job requires air plugs, and these act the exact same for me as the ear plugs, blocking sounds that are harmful, such as plane engine noises. This is a great plus since I can use it for both that, and listening to music, or answering calls.
The sweat proof coating helps with not sliding out of ears when I sweat, 1st gen used to occasionally slide out, losing ear protection and sound quality when I was sweaty.
Don't bother with the ear tips that are already on, just go straight for the smaller ones inside the box, it was the same with 1st gen, and the same with these. Only then you can appreciate and hear the nice bass and clean sound.
The only reason not to give this a 5 star rating, would be battery life. While for my needs its great, the competitions battery life blows these out the water. But I'd choose these over any other, any day, the small form factor is much better, they're literally just like small ear plugs. Battery lasts 4.5 hours of continuous use, however they last me a full 8 hour work day listening to music on and off, and a TV show here and there. I do however turn them off, for every time I take them out of my ears, which I believe helps make them last long.
The good news is, the case it comes with, acts as an extra battery charger. If you do drain the battery, you just have to plug it into the case and you will get a full charge within 20 mins. You can do this twice with the case, so you could actually get a good 14 hours of play with these headsets if you use the case for a brief 15-20 mins.
I do wish the case itself was a little better in fully protecting them, but it does the job decently.
One complaint I have, is each one may come with an AC adapter or not, some boxes come with it and some come with a USB adapter instead. The USB apdater can be plugged into a computer and has an additional USB port, in order to still be able to use USB with something else while charging. Every package should actually just have an AC adapter instead, but that's what Plantronics chose to do in some boxes. These adapters aren't to be confused with the single USB cable that comes in the box, you are supposed to get the adapter along with the cable. Which leads me up to another complaint, my box didn't have either adapter, and was missing. I didn't bother take it back as there was only 2 left, and there where brought from "the back" of the store, plus I have my ac cable from the 1 gen. So make sure you're getting everything in your box if you decide to purchase one of these bad boys. You will know which one you're supposed to get, as there's a picture underneath the instruction manuals of which you should have, AC adapter or USB adapter, plus cable.
The range is also good, I can walk away from my phone almost a good 60ft and still be connected.
Controls are simple, Power button, vol up and vol down. Power button Acts as pause and play for music, also use to answer and hang up calls. One slight long press will launch Google now, and a double tap will do a redial. Holding a vol button will skip forward or backwards (+ or -) to next track or previous track, or replay current song.
There's also voice alerts, unlike previous gen which was just different beeps, these ones have a woman's voice, notifying you of battery strength and when connected or not. Also vol up and down.
Hoping these will last me a good 2 years, just like the 1st gen lasted me.

Great Sound, but they fall out of your ears
Posted by: gefer from: on
I've had these for about a year. The pros are:
Battery lasts about 3 hours, maybe a little more
Built in controls and mic
The cons are:
If you run or do any intense exercise they fall out of your ears.
They do not last more than a year.
My headset left side is no longer working....

Wish I could try BEFORE I bought

I wanted to love these but regardless of the size of the ear piece, they just fall out of your ears (likely due to the weight). That aside, battery life isnt anywhere near what was advertised, after only a couple months they wont even take a full charge, and now they wont connect to anything at all. What a waste of money. Dont buy these. Not worth $100

Definitely not worth the price. Spend the extra 20 dollars and get the Jaybird Freedom earphones.

It's a great wireless headset but......
Posted by: Ninjaninjaman from: on
I like the headset a lot the bass is increable then any beats audio on the market that's wireless. It feels great in my ears no irritation or pain from cconstant wear, but I'm a runner. With that being said, if you run and run hard it will fall out your ears. I tried everything even used the different sizing components that came with it and nothing. This is a walk around answer your phone bluetooth listen to music headset not for intense workouts.

Great for the gym and office!

I've had these headphones a little over 2 months and love them. I’ve tried to review some of the important features:
1.) Battery life – It takes 20 minutes to charge for an hour of use. Fully charged headphones usually last over 4 hours of use. Charging my headphones over lunch allows me to use them all day at work.
2.) Carrying Case – Super convenient. After my morning workout I charge my headphones in the case, then they are ready to go at work.
3.) Bluetooth – I can leave my phone on our patio table. Then play music while I garden and still hear no static. My yard is about 30 feet long.
4.) Gym – I can easily workout and wear these headphones. They never fall out. I tend to sweat a lot and it doesn’t affect them.
1.) Battery life – I wish it were longer than 4-5 hours of use.
2.) They are a little tricky to put in at first. You should really watch a YouTube video to figure out how to adjust them perfectly for your ear.
