Can't say enough good things about this watch Posted by: from: on I've had this watch for over six months now and it is hands down one of the best purchases I've ever made. I can't believe I ever worked out without one. It functions perfectly, it's easy to use, and I find it to be extremely accurate. Knowing exactly when and how much to increase or decrease the intensity of your workout gives you so much more control over your training. You also gain a much better understanding of the efficacy of your workouts. For example, I've learned which exercises burn the most calories for me (heavy squats get my heart rate up higher than running on a treadmill does). One of my favorite features is the ability to review your stored training data directly from the watch. The workout summaries and totals are so motivating. If you have been thinking about getting one of these, do it. It is well worth the knowledge and motivation it provides.

Just what I needed! Posted by: from: GA on I got this at a great price and it was exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't concerned with this device syncing with an app...I just wanted it so I could tell if I was over/under doing things. My fitness/weight loss journey started 7 months ago, and as I progressed from walking to running, I wanted to know when my heart rate wasn't where it needed to be for maximum calorie burn/effectiveness, but I also wanted to tell when I was over doing it. Starting to jog, and being overweight, I assumed that naturally I would be hot, super sweaty and out of breath, but I didn't realize until I got this that when I ran my heart rate was WAY over the target area and stayed at the "maximum" for my age/height/weight. No wonder I always thought I was about to die. ;) The band is comfortable enough, I haven't had any problems with it. The watch itself is fine. Easy to read and use. No complaints. Knowing when to speed up, and when to slow down...my workouts have changed, and the way I feel afterwards, since this purchase and I couldn't be more pleased. Would definitely recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for Posted by: from: on I'm new to heart rate monitors, so I had a lot of searching to do to figure out what I needed from one before I placed my order. I soon found that the Polar brand was the one to get, but they have hundreds of models, ranging from affordable to incredible. I know some will say this model doesn't have it all, but if you're looking for something to keep you informed of your progress in your exercise routine, this is really all you need. Tracking up to 10 sessions worth of data, but also keeping a running total, the watch can tell you how long you worked out, your average heart rate, maximum reached, and time in the zone, and from that, how many calories you burned. It beeps softly at you every 5 seconds or so when you're under the zone, and also tells you when you've exceeded your maximum. The display is really easy to read, even in the middle of vigorous training session. The watch in comfortable and easy to clean, as is the chest strap, which is fully adjustable. I have no complaints at all, and for the price, I'm extremely pleased. I only wish there was a way to download the training files from the watch to my computer, but a spreadsheet also works just fine.

Great for working out! Posted by: from: Toledo, OH on I started using this the day I got it in the mail. It is extremely easy to set up and use right after taking out of the packaging. I do high intensity cardio (lots of jumping, running, kicking, etc I burn about 700-800 calories in a 1 hour class and 30 minutes after.. yes you are still burning even after the workout!) and have had no problem with the band slipping down. I don't even feel the band if it is on correctly. It should fit snug but not hurt. I love seeing my heart rate and that calorie count go up during a work out. It definitely motivates you to keep going and work harder. Great for people just beginning their exercising or even someone who has been exercising for awhile.

Amazing tool Posted by: from: San Antonio, TX on I think if I had known that I needed to wear a chest strap in order to use this, I might have passed on it, but to be honest I'm glad I didn't know, because once I tried it, I realised just how extremely useful this item is. To be able to keep track of my heart rate means I stay in the zone, and knowing exactly how many calories I've burned helps meet my daily goals so much easier. And all tracked in real time! I love this, and now I don't work out without it!

Easy to use! Posted by: from: on I purchased this to monitor my heart rate while pregnant. Due to ongoing health issues it was important I monitor it and report to the doctor. It's easy to use and very accurate. I use this everyday and find it very comfortable.

Great Information for those looking to lose weight Posted by: from: on I purchased this watch for my wife. I have recently begun a program to lose weight and have been successful so far(lost about 18 lbs in a month through diet and exercise.) Because of this, my wife was wanting to lose weight and believed in my program, so I needed to get her something that would motivate her (without me having to yell at her to talk down.) Thus came this watch, it is neat because it has a target zone that if you maintain, you are burning off strictly fat. It measures her heartrate and even better, the machines at our gym sync with them so she can look at the watch or the machine to read the accurate HR. At first, my wife did not like the strap she had to wear but now after using it for a month, she doesn't even feel it and will not go to the gym without this watch. She has lost 9 lbs and is loving the gym, even by herself!! This watch was worth every PENNY!

This is a pretty good product. It's easy to setup. Posted by: from: Cleveland, OH on I workout 3x a week doing high impact bootcamp cardio aerobics. I wanted a product that would accurately calculate my HR and calories burned. The watch is easy to setup and very easy to navigate. The chest strap stays in place and does not irritate my skin. However, for some reason the signal gets lost often and the HR stops reading which causes the calories burned to stop also. I have noticed that when I wet the strap thorougly I get better readings so don't be afraid to wet it. Overall this is a good product and I have reccomended it to many of my friends.

Affordable, Simple & Accurate Posted by: from: on I've never been too fond of watches or fitness watches especially the ones that come with a chest strap but recently I've been losing weight and getting in shape and wanted to keep track of my calorie burn during exercise. I bought my first device fitbit surge a couple weeks ago and it was nice and counted steps but was WAY off target when it came to heart rate even when I wasn't exercising...so I made the decision to return it and did some research on heart rate monitors and came across the polar and read that a heart strap is more accurate. So I returned the $300 fitbit and bought the 60.99 polar plus 14.99 2 year warranty and I'm so glad I did. The chest strap is super comfortable as it sits right under my chest area and I sometimes I forgIt it's there. It does exactly what I want. Counts my heart rate ACCURATELY and gives me calories burned....I take that and log it into my nutrition app and I'm done. I take if off and store it in my gym bag and don't have to worry about it again until my next workout. Some fitness "experts" have argued that the numbers are inaccurate and these devices shouldn't be used for strenuous exercise but it works for me...so yep lol
