Perfect easy retractable mic, great quality, fit perfectly over the ears, pricing is great for this kind of product
Worth all the money I spent on it.

Great for gaming
Posted by: ghostf1sh from: Anchorage, AK on
I have been gaming for quite a while, and I've always just used the headphones I use for my iPhone, since they have the built in mic, but lately I've wanted better sound quality. I bought these since they were under 100 bucks, and they're more than worth it. I can even listen to my music with them and I'm satisfied with the sound. They're incredibly comfortable, I've worn them entire nights when I'm playing Payday 2 or COD with my friends. Also, I love that the mic is extendable, so I can hide it if I don't need it right at that moment.

This set has totally awesome sound. altho it is bulky and heavy on the ears the retracting mic keeps it safer than normal mics.

Great first headphones!

This is an amazing pair of headphones, in my past experience I've had Turtle beaches, and also 1 other pair of headphones by Razer. I'm very pleased with how well the sound quality and the sleek design of the retractable microphone. I also like how there is a extension toward the audio cable, for when you want to listen to music on your phone, or music player. The only flaw, or not even that is the fact that most headphones have an extended amount of excess cords which get in the way of gameplay.

Great for the most part.

I love this headset, it trumps my XP Sevens from Turtlebeach ($250) and with a much cheaper price. The only complaint I have with this product it the cheap, rubbery USB that came apart on me when I had to pull it out of my computer but I got a replacement no problem and Razer Support is amazing! I will buy only Razer products whenever possible from now on!

Headphones provide great comfort. Head band has cushion so nothing hard to the top of your head, ear cups covers ears unless you have elf ears, they feel like pillows very very nice, great bass for the people that want them, Fully retractable microphone which is awesome because you can use it anywhere. Use it outside with the mic not out, making it look like regular headphones and when pulled, you can use it with your gaming pc/laptop and even your phone.
Enough specs. i love it for that bass because i am into music, good bass for scary gaming or mmorpgs, good stereo surround sound, you can hear where the monsters/enemy/bullets are going/hiding. after a few minutes you wont even know you are wearing them. Almost noise cancellation, still can hear if someone needs to talk to you so semi good.
Over all i love them. Good for on the go looks and gaming.

Great but didn't work for me, design is flawed.

Alright, I bought these as a replacement for the Razer Carcharias that broke on me. The build quality is astounding, very nice, much better than the carcharias. The sound quality for music is good but I also feel that overall the sound sounds muffled because it is more tuned to bass. The bass is good and overall the headset feels nice to wear. However, the headset fails at what it was meant to do, it may just be my laptop sound card but by using the splitter, i had to put the mic in my mouth for anyone to hear me and I had all my mic volumes boosted too! Tried many different things from uninstalling my drivers, installing different versions, nothing worked. I then tried this on a desktop and plugged it into a good sound card and it worked but for my laptop which I use primarily because I'm in college, it did not. this could all have been avoided if there was no splitter. I felt bad that I had to retake my Carcharias but may request a refund and buy the Razer Tiamat 2.2 as it is only $20 more and has 2 Subwoofer drivers.
What Razer made here is a headset that can be worn around college as a nice pair of cans, but they forgot what they are, and that is a gamng peripheral company.

Great gaming / movie headset, bad for large ears
Posted by: revan2368 from: Austin, TX on
This is my first "real" gaming headphones, I found these far superior
to what I have used before. The sound is great, the mic is flexible and catches voice well, while not being so sensitive that ambient noise is an issue at all. This white pair complimented my red gaming setup and features a detachable point to output only to AUX, allowing for easy use on phones, tablets, and computers without the luxury of both sound-in / mic-in.
The issues I have found are in the headphone portion of the headset, in that they are too small. I have slightly larger then normal ears, and I find prolonged use causes discomfort. Also, the cord is very rubbery, and catches very easily on skin, clothing and such.

My 14 y/o son loves this. I asked if he has any issues with it, and he says no. My only issue is he doesn't want to hang up with his friends for bedtime!!

Good sound, iffy mic
Posted by: zipposrmylife from: Orange County, Huntington Beach on
My brother needed a new headset and we sprung for the kracken...
However over time we have found that the mic is not nearly good enough quality and will pick up sound from your earcups. Watching a movie while on skype? Better not, they will hear everything.
