you get what you pay for

Posted by: JustinJales from staten island, ny on 02/27/2016for only 349.99 you cant expect much but it is a smart led tv. so quality was ok and i was able to stream netflix. however you need an internet connection to do anything else (wired) the wireless was iffy. mightve just been a defective one but i wont know for sure i returned it a few days after. size was just right for a small room. sound was decent. i loved that it was super light and easy to carry unlike my new tv!

Wasn't happy later

Posted by: badgurl55 from on 02/05/2016I have always believed in and purchased RCA. However, this TV had problems right out of the box with the HDMI portion. When I plugged in HDMI, the controls on the remote did not work. I had to use the 3 wire system (yellow, red, white). What good is a TV for HDMI when you can't use that cable. I did hook up that way and figured .. oh well. Then I tried to hook all my other goodies with HDMI and nothing would work. Called RCA .... they thought the HDMI bank was defective and wanted me to exchange. Nope ... I moved onto something else and am happy I did.

Terrible customer service / support !!

Posted by: MarkS from on 02/03/2016Picture, good. Smart" function, ok. Price, very good. The negative..... After 1 month the TV began turning itself on every morning at 4 am. Best buy said it wasn’t their problem as the purchase was more than a month old and referred me to RCA. RCA said they no longer make TVs, just distribute so not their problem and referred me to OnCorp, the manufacture. OnCorp said “it’s a common problem we began seeing last summer and has to do with corrupt software” (Yet Best Buy sold me the TV and still has them for sale…..). OnCorp won’t fix the TV but will direct you to several web pages (none will open or run) where they suggest you download new software then upload to your TV yourself, again you can’t get the webpage to open to get the fix. Finally after 1 week and about 6 hrs. on the phone I got ahold of an OnCorp tech. who admitted they were having problems with the webpage as “100s of people are having the same issue”. The tech agreed to send me the “fix” on a memory stick and I am waiting to see if he makes good. I think what bothers me more than anything else is both Best Buy and RCA know the TV is defective yet not only continue to sell it but made no effort to contact owners who bought the TV to fix the problem. From now on I will have to factor the Best buy protection plan into the cost of all electronics before I decide where to purchase. The price wasn't such a great deal when you factor the time spent.

Great TV for the price

Nice television

Good TV, limited application

Posted by: Kabir from on 01/16/2016With so many TV to choose from, I picked RCA because it was a smart TV. TV quality is alright for the price, however Opera software doesn't have much apps plus it is not as flexible as android to load in application from outside. I would have rather bought a external dongle to make TV smart.

It's an okay tv

Posted by: Tjusmad from on 01/10/2016Bought it for my daughter as a christmas gift. I was offered a great price while in the store looking for a different brand. Setting it up was not an easy task. The remote control doesn't work very well.
