Best Buy Customer Reviews

Quirky fun series4 Posted by: from: NJ on The show is entertaining and Arino is a compelling host. Its a weird concept but watching a middle aged man badly play video games is just somehow fun. While the dvd has an english dub for the announcer Arino is only translated via subtitles. While I do not like the dub announcer and wouldn't want Arino dubbed either, that might be an issue for people. The removal of non-challenge content is disappointing, as those segments where Arino visits arcades in Japan or a monk makes a sermon from a strategy guide quote were entertaining and provided a nice break from the challenge. The only other problem with the set is the lack of episode length indication outside of the dvd player's info pane. A normal 40~ minute episode takes up the same single episode block as the episode that's nearly 3 hours long. These are all fairly minor complaints though and don't do much to hurt the overall positive experience.
