Roku customer service a nightmare of being ignored

Posted by: Sherlockian from on 04/05/2016Bought 2nd Roku, so thought set up would be easy. Wasn't. From beginning, it was clear that the remote was wonky, not working right. Would pair, then slip out of pairing. So I'd redo (following online help by Roku), but again. When I found my new iPhone app was able to work the remote function, then I knew. Had to call customer service. Got accented man clearly reading a script. Told him it was the remote, needed a replacement. He said "uh-huh" and ignored that. Had me spend 30-45 minutes doing everything I'd already done. Uh-huh. Then when he got to asking me to change my router channel, I told him no. It isn't OUR router, it is YOUR remote. We'll take it back to BB. He finally decided to confer and decide, give the lady a replacement remote. I asked for CEO name and address too. He didn't give to me, so I found and wrote Mr. Anthony Wood to explain the problems. Wasted two hours. Would NOT recommend.
