Great blues CD5 Posted by: from: on I have always loved the old rhythm and blues sound, especially artists like Otis Redding, so I was pleased to see this CD, at a great price, that had Paul Rodgers covering several of Otis's songs as well as a few other great hits from the past. Paul has a super brass section backing him, which adds to my enjoyment value.

Excellect interpretation of American 60's R&B5 Posted by: from: hanover, md on Paul Rodgers in usual fine form. If you think you know his work from Free and Bad Company guess again . Paul extends himself even further in these Soul/Blues interpretations

This guy can sing!4 Posted by: from: Buena Vista, Colorado on A great album from a rock legend. Paul Rodgers delivers another flawless performance. A studio album of Memphis blues covers that has great backing musicians. The critics called it non-essential. I say there is nothing more non-essential than a critic. Give it a listen and decide for yourself. If you like Rodgers, you'll buy it. It rocks.

Paul started with the blues5 Posted by: from: on Paul started doing blues in the late '60s with Free. His voice is perfect for reinterpreting these classics.

Interesting Effort By Rodgers3 Posted by: from: Newport, PA on This is an interesting effort by Paul Rodgers, apparently focused on artists that influenced him. Rodgers is in a class all his own as a singer and you can't go wrong with almost anything he has ever recorded. Not the best material he has ever recorded, but an introspective look into the music that influenced this classic rocker.

Fantastic release from the legend Paul Rodgers5 Posted by: from: Philadelphia, PA on I'm a long-time fan of Paul Rodgers from Free to Bad Company, The Firm, solo, and with Queen. The man can sing! I love the fact that he used musicians from the same studio where these songs were originally recorded. That's a classy move. I saw him perform many of these songs live recently and cannot believe that he sounds as good today as he did in the early 70s. This is a fun recording to listen to and appreciate old tunes performed as only Paul Rodgers can. My only gripe is that there are 3 album-only bonus tracks available via Amazon that are not on the CD.
