Good picture at a good price. Is a nice 2nd tv for a bedroom etc. because it doesn't have all the smart features. So if you just want a quality tv with a nice picture. Read some reviews about bad sound. Sound isn't great but I don't hear anything that justifies saying the sound is horrible.

This set has a reasonable picture. Not great, but reasonable.
The really bad feature on this set is the sound. It appears Samsung is trying to minimize production costs. The result is hollow and "tinny" sound. It isn't what I have come to expect from Samsung.

I bought this TV at Best Buy on 12/31/15. It was marked down $70 to $199.99. I saw a floor display model, but did not check the sound. Upon setting up this TV at home, I am greatly disappointed. Firstly, the flimsy plastic legs are not of good design, as the TV could possibly topple over. Secondly, the sound quality is absolutely awful. The bottom mounted internal speakers are low quality, and while there are graphic equalizer settings with which to tinker, they don't improve upon the overall sound quality. There is a Digital Audio Output jack, but that requires the purchase of a higher end soundbar. What is greatly missing is the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack, to plug in a simple pair of powered external speakers. The picture quality of this TV is superb, but I cannot recommend the purchase of this model as is. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in Samsung!

DON'T BUY OPEN BOX!

First, let me say the TV itself is excellent (at least, the replacement is). I bought this as "open box", condition listed as "excellent". It was coming from the Northridge, CA store. What I got delivered was a disaster. It came in the original box, with styrofoam only on the bottom. This means the top of the TV was rattling back and forth in the box. Also, the only thing in the box was the TV...no manual, no remote or batteries, no power cord, no legs for the TV, NOTHING! There was tape on the box saying it had been "inspected". There was untampered plastic wrap around the box so I know nothing had been taken out during shipping.
I took it back to my local Palmdale, CA store to replace. They checked and didn't have an "open box" item to replace it. They instead offered me a 10% discount on any TV. Since the TV had been on sale, and the "open box" was about $30 less than the sale price, I was now expected to pay considerably more for the same TV which was no longer on sale. I informed them an "open box" in "excellent condition" was available from their Glendale, CA store, and I was fine waiting a few days to get that one delivered, but they kept insisting my choices were a refund, or 10% discount on a new TV. I argued with them that this was not my fault, it was theirs (meaning Best Buys). They of course claimed it wasn't their fault (meaning PALMDALE Best Buys). I had to explain that when a customer gets something from Best Buy, whether it was their store, another store, or online, and the item received by the customer was not what was ordered, it was THEIR FAULT (the company Best Buy). I told them if they could not correct THEIR ERROR, I expected to receive a new TV at the same "open box" price...I should not be expected to pay more for their error. They said that couldn't be done. I offered to buy the TV at the new price, open it in the parking lot, and then return it for a refund so they WOULD have an "open box" in "excellent condition" to sell me. Finally a manager or supervisor came over and said to give her a few moments. She went to the back, and brought up a new TV to a cashier.
I waited a few minutes, and was then told to go see that cashier, who told me she had cancelled my previous order, and was ringing up this new TV at no charge. So everything worked out well in the end.
A few final comments.
1. I should never have had to go through this trouble. Someone at the Northridge Best Buy was incompetent, putting NOTHING but the TV itself in the box, using tape to seal it which read "inspected", and listing it as "excellent condition".
2. The Palmdale store should have ordered the "open box" item from the Glendale store to replace the returned one, rather than just telling me there were no "open box" items in the Palmdale store, and I could pay extra for a new TV. I had told them I was will to do this, and was willing to wait a few days for the new delivery.
3. Somewhere along the line, an apology would have been nice. From anyone at Best Buy. However, one employee did say, "I'm glad it wasn't one of our employees who did this".
4. I'm glad this finally worked out, but the end result should have been automatic. I should not have had to waste time fighting for what was right.
My overall rating for the TV is 5-Star. My overall rating for Best Buy is 1-Star.
Would I recommend this to a friend? For the TV, Yes. For buying an Open Box item ever again from Best Buy, NO! For dealing with Best Buy for any future purchases, we'll have to wait and see.

Speakers sound terrible

Let me first start by saying the video quality of this tv is excellent. I love the thin bezel; however, that has a negative impact on the sound. I can put up with television builtin speakers but the speakers in this television sound like a tin can. If you are hopng to enjoy the sound of this television using the builtin speakers than stay away from this tv.

The television has a excellent picture and sound. A very high quality product at a very reasonable price. A great television for the spare bedroom. The only problem I had with the whole buying experience was the company forgot to enclose the remote control and AC power cord. I had to return to the store and do a complete exchange.
