Do NOT buy this washer!!

Bought washer Feb 28, 2015. Installed first week of March. Drum gasket and bearing issues first week of June 2016 after normal use (2 adults one kid). Repair estimate $350. Nothing covered under the warranty - no parts, no labor, nothing. Average life span of a washer is 10 to 14 years (multiple sources validating statement). This one was 15 months.
Customer service rep was polite but "helpless to assist."
Samsung - when contacted via social media and directly - said (sic) "Sorry about that, have you tried one of our warrantied service providers? They're usually helpful." and then deleted our post explaining the issue and asking for assistance.
In all seriousness, Samsung's attitude and responses made me think they were laughing at me and all the way to the bank. This was an expensive mistake and not one I would suggest others make.

Turns out, this is a great washer!

I was skeptical about this washer due to other reviews. We went for it anyway because it was the best we could get within our budget - we also got it as an "open box item". When I washed our very first load it kept refilling with water, and doing the spin cycle (a total of two times before I stopped it). I started to freak out because this is what other reviewers complained about the most. I jumped online (to the Samsung website) and went through the trouble shooting steps that they have provided. I checked and rechecked that the machine was level. And then I read about common "problems" the whole reason the machine fills and spins over and over is because the load is unbalanced - it will try a total of 3 times to reposition the load before it starts flashing the warning lights that something is wrong. I felt like such a dork for jumping to conclusions that the washer was defective. I re-positioned the load and it finished the wash cycle with no issue.
We have had the washer for almost a month and I have used every wash setting on it and it works like a dream, I do one load per day - sometimes more. It washes our King Size comforter with ease. After that first load freak out, I just make sure that when I'm adding the clothes in that I'm putting them in evenly ;-)

I bought this machine 4 months ago and I have had to call Samsung 3 times to have this machine repaired. The washer stops during the spinning cycle, and had the electronic settings replaced as well.Samsung refuses to replace the washer and keeps sending a repairman,1 repairman told me the motor is to small.I bought the dryer to have a matching new set and I've had issues with the dryer heating and have to dry 2 or 3 times and had a repairman work on it twice.I regret buying these 2 units.BUYER BEWARE,BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND,SAMSUNG WANTS YOU TO KEEP THE DEFECTED PRODUCT INSTEAD OF MAKING THE CONSUMER HAPPY AND REPLACE IT WITH A NEW UNIT! :(

We tried this washer twice. The first one wouldn't complete a wash cycle and was returned for another one. Same story different day. I put sheets in the washer at 10:00am and they were completed at 4:30pm.....I was in and out during the day and the load kept getting off balanced - an issue I've never dealt with in all my years of washing. Also, it keep filling and spinning over and over and over....NEVER to stop - I finally got it stopped to put them in the dryer. This one is being returned PRONTO...its a PIECE OF JUNK. DON'Y WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a Word "Junk"

Purchased June 24, 2015. Started having problems less then a month with certain cycles where it would stop during rinse/spin with lights on. Pause and restart and had same problems. Steadily got worse where it didn't matter what cycle you started with or just a rise/ spin or spin it would always stop during the rinse/ spin or spin. Starting in August had tech out 3 times and now after 3 months of dealing with Samsung support they finally gave in and are replacing the Washer. I am trying to get store credit so I don't have to look at this same machine again, as I have lost all faith that this washer will last any length of time beyond the warranty period. That wasn't the worse part of the experience though. I realize stuff breaks, but Samsung customer service is by far the worse experience I have had the displeasure of dealing with. I wish I could measure my time dealing with Samsung support in hours, but all the time I have spent on the phone dealing with this problem it would equal days. That is why I would never recommend this washer or any Samsung product. I always had a high regard for their TV's but if I ever had a problem with one and had to deal their support system again I am pretty sure I might run out in front of a car as that would be more enjoyable.

The product was defective from the very beginning. Just like another customer review stated, this washer kept on going and never stopped rinsing and spinning and rinsing and spinning. Called Samsung customer support; they asked me to go into my basement, and try to level the machine, though it was a professional installation. When I showed disinclination, they threatened that I would have to pay for the repair service if it turned out to be a leveling problem. I capitulated and tried to level it. Then, I put it into a spin cycle to see if it was shaking; well, it was vibrating for sure but after finishing the spin cycle, it started putting water back in. My argument that it could not be a leveling issue was unheeded when I used this simple logic: let's say the machine is tilted and not leveled but it should still not start filling up the tub after the spin cycle is over, particularly, when it wasn't even asked to wash or rinse. Now, we have finally got a repair company to call us and they will come after 8 days. In the meantime we will ask our renter not to wash her clothes, and maybe, buy some extra clothes.

Do Not Buy

Constant problem with the load distribution causing the load to become unbalanced (error code dc) and revert back to spin cycle (so much for high eff). Samsung Customer Service is no help with this problem and you have to incur all the costs if over a year old! The repair number they gave me will not make a service call on a weekend either. Worst washer I ever owned!!!!

Love this washer

My kenmore went up. So I had to replace it. I love Samsung products. So I knew what I was going to go with name wise just had to decide which model. We just picked this up last night. I'm on load number four (I haven't had a washer in 5 days) and I am almost caught up on my laundry already. This washer is huge. One load is more like 2. I love this machine!! I did get the warranty but I get warranties on everything I buy.

The worst washer and service ever
Posted by: almacol from: on
Over a month calling, going to Best Buy, calling Samsung, making appointments, taking time off from work, doing laundry somewhere else, paying money for this, wasting my time and energy dealing with the awful customer service, both Best Buy and Samsung, not because they are rude, but very inefficient. The washer stopped working after only five months of use. They only made appointments for their convenience, Samsung sent me to a technician that does not carry the tools to fix the problem. Horrible experience. I do not recommend to buy this product.

I purchased this on 4/20/15, they delivered it on 4/24/15 and I went to the store today (4/28/15) to return it and buy a different brand. On my 3rd load the washer would not stop running. I placed the load in at 1030 AM and at 2 PM it was still going. I stopped the cycle, put it on Spin only and left my house. Came back at 3AM in the morning and it was still going. Also, the "spin only" cycle does go through a rinse so who knows how much water I've wasted by it filling up, spinning, draining then starting the cycle over and over. I'm afraid to see my water bill. By the way, there is a "Spin and Rinse" cycle so it doesn't make sense that the "Spin Only" rinses too. Can't forget to mention that when the first 2 loads went to completion, it took 1 hour and 30 mins. Ridiculous.
I don't know if other Samsung washers are quality machines, but this one sure wasn't. I was not interested in a replacement. I'm turned off by Samsung now and don't want any appliance that's Samsung. Especially after I did a google search of the complaints for this washer. Wish I had done that first instead of looking at the Best Buy reviews only.
The dryer is decent though and I like the music it plays at the end of the cycle, but they're both going back. No more Samsung for me!
