Capacity and Features Like I've Never Seen! Posted by: from: Columbus, OH, USA on We LOVE this washer (and matching dryer)! The capacity is really unbelievable. I do loads double the size I used to, and there seems to be no comforter or blanket that it can't handle. Now my sister, who has the Duets from just a couple of years ago, brings her big king size comforter to my house to wash and dry it lol. The features are awesome: Steam, auto-balancing,: extra hot" settings for sterilizing with the built in water heater, super quiet operation, and the bigger but less deep drum so you don't have to bend down so far to take the clothes out is fabulous. But the washer has a slightly larger foot print than most so make sure to measure your doorways to get it to the basement. It is a full 30" wide so I had to take off the door trim inside the 30" doorway to my basement so they could get it down there. Then you put the door trim back on. If your doorway is 30" it will fit but under that and forget it. We LOVE this washer and dryer set!

High capacity washer Posted by: from: on I bought this washer in place of another Samsumg washer that was so deep I couldn't reach the bottom of it to get the clothes out. This washer is wider so the capacity is still high it's just not as deep. I don't have to do as many loads as I did with my Maytag that had an agitator but I'm not sure that the clothes get as clean as with that type of machine. I'm still learning what cycles work best for what I want to wash - so maybe with time I'll be just as happy as I was with what I had before (that died after nearly 20 years) but right now I'm feeling that technological improvements like the impeller aren't always a change for the better. It's a good thing the machine handles a large wash load because the wash cycles are very long and sometimes during the spin cycle the machine adds more water to redistribute the load - so much for saving water. I would recommend this machine to someone very short because it is nice to be able to get the clothes out without having to stand on a stool.

Poor quality and support from Samsung Posted by: from: on You are looking at a 8 month old $1200 washing machine. The quasi "stainless steel" laminate they used on the inside above the drum is peeling. After spending several hours of filling out online requests, submitting photos, receipts and speaking with at least 6 people the bottom line is... Samsung does not cover "cosmetic damage", however I would classify this as defective due to the adhesive not withstanding normal use. This is my first and last Samsung appliance purchase

Fanciest appliance I've ever owned! Posted by: from: on I am in love with this washer and dryer set. Its beautiful, its huge, and it works like a dream. I read a lot of the other reviews before purchasing, and I was a little scared by some of the negative reviews. It really seems like a lot of people just want something (anything) to complain about. The first thing that worried me, was how many people complained about the size and depth of the tub. People were complaining that they could not reach the clothes without a step stool! One person claimed they needed tongs! WHAT???? I am 5' 2 and I reach to the bottom without even stretching. I have no idea what they are talking about. Unless they have this washer on a pedestal? which would not make sense to me as it is a top loader, not a front loader. So, either these people have too much time on their hands and are that nit-picky, or maybe they are really negative and hard to please. Another thing that people mentioned, was that the detergent tray never fully dries out. There is always some water left in it. It says right in the manual, that it is designed that way. It's normal. One person was worried mildew would accumulate. If the tray has detergent in it regularly, it should kill any growth of bacteria. I have a dehumidifier that constantly has water in it, and if you wash it out with soap once a week, it never gets mildew. Next, a couple of people mentioned that without an agitator, the load sometimes gets thrown off balance, and if you are not around to hear the notification that it needs to be adjusted, the washer will keep filling up and repeating the rinse cycle until it balances itself out. I have not experienced this yet. If you take the time to properly load and spread out the clothes evenly, it probably doesn't happen that often, unless you are washing something heavy, like rugs. ALL washers get unbalanced from time to time. Don't leave the house when you're washing clothes, if you're that worried about it. Re-adjusting the clothes every once in awhile, does not seem like a major inconvenience to me. One person claimed the clothes didn't seem to get as clean as they hoped. Maybe the setting you used, the detergent, was to blame. Maybe you don't know how to follow directions. Complaining that there are still leaves and grass left in the tub after the wash, tells me that you expect them to just disappear or get chopped up and sucked down the drain. Its not a dishwasher for pete's sake! Shake your clothes off before putting in items with solid debris on them. Jeez. It's common sense. To me, these complaints just seem ridiculous. These fancy features and settings are all a dream come true to me. I have never owned a machine this nice. I had an old school Kenmore machine with an agitator, and it had maybe 1/3 of the capacity that this one has. So, I'm in hog heaven. I would recommend this machine to anyone. So, take the negative reviews with a grain of salt.

Great washer, tons of space Posted by: from: SC on I bought this set a few months ago and couldn't be happier. There is a ton of space for a significant amount of clothes. I absolutely love that there is no agitator so you can fit a comforter with absolutely no problem. There is a ton of settings plus a setting to remember your preference. It is extremely quiet but a nice tone to let you know your wash is done. Also a cool feature- if something is wrong, you can scan a code on your smartphone and it will tell you the problem and how to fix it. How cool is that?! The only bad this is that since it is the largest capacity washer, it does seem a little bulky.

Works Great!!! Posted by: from: on This washer is awesome. First, its size is like having one of those huge laundry mat washers at your disposal. Had plenty of room to wash a king sized bedspread. Second, this washer gets everything REALLY clean. Lastly, There is a feature for just about anything you would want to do to a garment. My wife has used it for washing things she previously would not wash in our old washer as they were delicate. The machine is quiet and runs smoothly. I would recommend this washer to anyone who is in the market for a large capacity machine with a ton of features.

So Far So Good. I love to do Laundry now Posted by: from: on I love this washer. I can do laundry in less loads. I swear my clothes come out brighter and cleaner than before. You can put two and a half loads in this compared to my other washer. Less walking back and forth. It does take longer to do each load. The sanitary settings are awesome. I can make sure the sheets and towels are clean and safe. Keep the owners manual close as there is so much this does. Other reviewers have complained about some things about this washer. I have not yet (knock on wood LOL) had to deal with any issues. Works great and is quiet too. Plays a little tune when it is done. I did get the extended warranty on this as the reviews are so either one star or five stars. So far five stars from me. Hope it lasts as I love to do laundry now a little more.

Not worth the hassle (Less than a star for stress) Posted by: from: on 8-16-16 Samsung Review Pros: - Looks nice - Holds a lot of laundry (never got close to filling it up) - Washes clothes nicely Cons: - Filled our Laundry Room, Entryway, and Crawlspace with water (3x)! - Had to call generic 800-SAMSUNG for help, and be on the phone for hours, climbing the ladder of rank to someone that would send a technician out to repair the machine and would start a claim to pay for the damages. - Had to have technician come-out twice to repair, and hope would work (failed). - Had to go to local laundromat and spend more time and money to do laundry, when we spent a lot of money on a new washer! - Had to spend hours sopping-up water, drying them out, and sopping some more. - Had to purchase more fans to dry the water. - Had to run a dehumidifier non-stop in the laundry room for over 2 weeks, along with the fans and industrial air mover. - Had a higher electric bill due to the last bullet point - Had to call-around and get flooring companies to come-out, take measurements and give their estimates, then submit those to Samsung. - Had to take work off several times to meet with the installers, the service technicians, the flooring specialists, etc. We are still not finished with this process; no resolution yet, just a mess (over a month after the first leak!). Quite frustrating, and quite a long, laborious, expensive process. No, I would not recommend purchasing this machine.

Love the size! Posted by: from: on I can't say how happy I am to finish my laundry in almost half the time it used to take me. There are 2 adults and 3 teenagers in my home and to say there's a lot of laundry is an understatement. for the most part it washes well but I'm still trying to figure out how to get it to scrub either longer or harder because some soiled pieces just don't make the cut. I would totally recommend this model if the laundry loads overtake your laundry room. But play around with settings to get it as clean as you need it.

Huge Washer, unbeatable capacity! Posted by: from: on If Jesus were to design a washer, this would be it. The capacity is large enough for Moses to part, but efficient enough to earn the nick name, The Holy Grail. I truly love this washer and turn it on sometimes just to reminisce .
