Move to the music playing through these Samsung IconX headphones. Each ear piece comes with comfortable gel fittings, and you can move freely on equipment or during aerobic classes without any cords in your way. These Samsung IconX headphones come with 4GB of memory so you can load them with podcasts or your favorite workout music.
Wonderful! Very well done! Room to Improve.

Where to start?
Background... I have had many Bluetooth Headsets over the years. Some, I've loved. Others, not so much. But ever since I've been able to listen to my music sans cord, I have. From back in 08-09 with the original Moto S series to Plantronics Back Beat and Back Beat go to the Beats Solo2 Wireless, Studio Wireless and Power beats, I've seen or heard all kinds.
**I was researched and prepared I understood the 60-180 min battery life and I realized the charging time was long.
1. No wires....Zero
2. Perfect fit.
3. Fairly intuitive touch controls once you use them once or twice
4. Sound Quality is better than Power Beats and fell short of the Beats Solo2. Full and clear. Very impressed. I was expecting something closer to Plantronics Back Beats.
5. Very quiet. The sound isolation is awesome.
6. The ambient sound pass-through is also awesome. Robotic, but great way to keep an ear on what's happening around you.
7. The carrying case doubling as a charger is 100% necessary, but also very cool and convenient.
8. Volume is really not bad. Again, more than expected as some buds have lower volume range. Better than Back Beat Pros, Fell short of Solo2.
Cons: Rather than cons, Ill call them not so pros as much of this should be expected when you buy. None of the following surprised me.
1. Price. At $200, they aren't the cheapest thing out, but when you compare to a set of Power Beats/Solo2 at about the same price It seems more reasonable.
2. Battery. 1 Hour 20 Min. Is about my average (I have used these as of this writing 4 times) for streaming music. This includes the use of all the fitness tracking and ambient features as well. 2+ Hours for playing music stored on the Icon X itself.
3. No pedometer. No big deal, but would have been nice considering the inclusion of the HR sensor.
4. I think my biggest issue is the charging time. It takes about an hour to top off after a complete drain. Considering how short the battery life is to begin with, I really would have liked a 15min quick charge feature just to give me a quick pop of initial juice.
Honestly, I'm very impressed. Sure the battery life is low, but with something this small, I understand. Let's be real, we aren't looking at these for superb audio fidelity or battery life, we are looking at these for extreme portability - And they deliver. The surprise was really nice audio as well. Sure I have to think about my workouts a little differently regarding how I'm going to listen to music. With no cords or head bands to get In the way and buds that never feel like they are going to fall out..... its worth it. I'll just keep my Beats for backup when I want a long workout. Thought I'd be returning these when I bought them even before I even left the store.... I was wrong. Very happy with the purchase.

Great ear buds for exercising!
Posted by: Greg from: on
These are awesome for exercising, not necessarily for using all the time. Two ways to use: Load MP3s (up to 2000 songs) directly onto buds, good for approx. 3 1/2 hours or carry phone and listen to Spotify/Pandora etc., good for approx. 1 1/2 hours. If you're using your phone to listen to music you are able to take/make phone calls. So these are mainly good for going to the gym or on a run. The case does contain a battery good for at least 2 charges (as small as these things are you just can't expect an all day battery life). By themselves they do track your exercising and heart rate (pretty accurate, I always compare with the treadmill I run on). They do come with different size fittings and are very comfortable once sized correctly. I run a lot/lift weights and have had no issues with them falling out. You're definitely paying a premium to get rid of the annoying wire behind your head, especially annoying when you start sweating while exercising and the wire sticks to your neck.

Much Better than Expected
Posted by: NikO from: on
I bought these with mixed expectations after watch dozens of reviews. However now that I have had time to play with them, i am pleased to say that they have exceeded my expectations. First of all, set up is fast. Connecting to the phone, downloading music to the headphones and playing music is a fluid process. The audio quality is quite qood. In comparison to the headphones that come in box with the Samsung phones, the IconX's have about 80% the loudness, and 90 percent the bass. I think this is perfectly acceptable. On another note, these are extremely Light weight and comfortable, and fit well in the ears. The touch controls are accurate and easy to learn. Noise cancelling has worked well so far. And sound pass through is a neat feature when playing music at low volumes, it feels as though you have robotic hearing. When the music is off the sound pass through works extremely well, and act like a hearing aid. This is a nice feature to have when out running or biking. It lets you enjoy your music while having the Security of hearing your surroundings. The convenience of still having activity tracking and 4gb of music any where you go, even without your phone, is a praise worthy addition from Samsung. The battery life is just as samsung claims. On a good day i get about 2 hours of music on bt, and about 5 hours of music played frim the head phones. What is nice is the transition from phone to on board storage is quick, so optimizing the battery is easy. In addition the IconX's carrying case offers up to 4 extra charges, allowing you to use these throughout your day. Oh, and "ok google" works with these.
I hope this helps some of you with your decision. I like them a lot.

First set of wireless earbuds
Posted by: nytink from: on
I just received these a couple hours ago and so far it is a good product. It isn't too bad for sound quality and loudness, but not sure it's good having something shoved far in the ear being super loud, so if you want something loud stick to headphones, but I like the tap feature to change tracks, pause and accept/reject incoming calls. I read one review that said it was for music and fitness track only, but no not the case, you can talk too, it does get warm in your ear so I suggest not for long term use, but it is a nice product. Not sure the price tag is 200 worth it but because it's still fairly new and when other products hit the market will lower prices some. Sum it up good product but not a dire need I'd wait for the price to come down some.

Not worth the money
Posted by: ChicagoTony from: on
I was really excited about these earbuds. I just got my first galaxy phone ( the note 5) and I was very pleased I already own a galaxy tab 4 so I know samsung products are pretty good. But I bought these and while they are innovative and comfortable they lack in major departments. The first issue is the volume it's pretty low compared to my LG around the neck buds, there is virtually no bass at all, then the big killer is the battery life I used them for a little over an hour and they were dead, but takes close to three hours to charge. WHAT'S THE DEAL SAMSUNG??? Scrap the internal memory and give us more battery life and better sound quality. So I'm going to return mine and just save for the bose wireless or wait until the next gen version drops with better improvements. Until then avoid these if you really like to hear your music and plan on using them more than an hour at a time.

This is not my first true wireless headphone but I must say this beats out my previous set. First, the fit is just perfect and the looks is great. Samsung did a phenomenal job on this headphone. The sound is well balance and doesn't require any equalizer at all. I listen to all sort of type of genre of music and so far they all sounded fairly well. The isolation is also great and there's an option from outside ambient to be heard for safety precautions. As far as the ease of use of this device, there is no buttons. Just place the earphone into your ears and it turns on automattically. I am a huge Apple product fan but I think Samsung has gain my respect for them. This headphone truly rocks!!! The only negative which isn't much of an issue is the battery life. For streaming from the phone is 1.5 hours and 3 hours from the device itself. But if you can get around this minor issue, you will enjoy this device. The most important to consider here is the convenience. Ignore the little issues and enjoy this new technology. I am sure second generation will come sooner enough.

Great sound for something so small
Posted by: Obrien from: on
I was very pleased with the quality of sound that these offer. The bass, volume, and clarity were all excellent. Once they went in my ears they also did not come out while running. The only downside to them is that the battery is life is not as good as promised. The specs read 2 hours of streaming and I am only able to get about 1 hour and 15 minutes on them. Other than the battery life these are awesome cordless ear buds.

Good concept for wireless

Great concept for wireless but dissatisfied with it. Battery will only lasted for 55 minutes after a full charge. Not good for a 2 hours gym guy.

All around great!!

I just purchased these head phones this pass week, I was looking at these when I seen them on a Best Buy ad. I wanted them for one reason the compatibility to work with my S7, and the S2 classic. I wasn't sure how I would like the sound due to how small they are and I have a pair of Beats head phones but they are all wired. I wanted to get something that wasn't wired, tired of the wire bouncing while I'm running, or feels like the ear buds are going to come out if I have it tucked in my shirt, or the wire snags on my hand and there goes the earbud. well with these you don't have that problem and they have a great fit. They come with extra sizes for your ears. the music volume I would have liked it to go louder but the sound is great and clear. The price is fair not a great deal but I have paid that much for my beats and bose head phones. I'm very happy with this purchase I think Samsung hit it on the head with these and I hate to say it but they do pair up to your Ipod. You don't need to have your phone or anything else as these to have memory to store music. I don't know what else to say about this product but go get them I'm very impressed with them.

No way to say it nicely. Battery life sucks. Really sucks. Only way to extend usage is to use 1 at a time. Then you may get 4 hours max. They did not lie. ONLY for exercise. Save your time and money. Wait for the next model.
