This is kind of my theme song/photo album/theme album (?) of 2002/2003. It was a great time for music. I've always been more of a moody pensive kind of dude and this style of music was a relief to find and when bands like Fall Out Boy started making it big, I didn't really consider them "pop-punk" at first, and then of course FOB got just plain annoying as the years went on. Bands like Paramore more or less keep the flame burning, but 2003 was full of this kind of stuff. This CD on its own however is extremely good. It's probably the best CD of the pop-punk explosion that came into full bloom after the success of Blink 182, definitely standing high over most of it, and the nostalgia factor, for me and those other minorities who share the sentiment and were old and/or privileged enough to be aware of it circa 2003-ish, just makes it that much sweeter to hang onto and appreciate.
