Great Lens...A must have....Tack sharp images, beautiful bokeh....love it....The hood, btw, has a more kind of "matte" finish on the outside, that will not scratch or print up like the other Canon hoods you have to buy separately (this is just a personal pet peeve of mine with hoods I bought for my non-L lenses)....I can easily shoot compound eyes on an insect, then shoot gorgeous portraits, both with great bokeh, wit this lens....It has a long focus throw, so it is not super fast focusing, but is also not slow... and the focus seems to be very accurate.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens: Experience a broader range of your DSLR's capabilities with this mid-telephoto macro lens. Image stabilization helps to ensure that your photos are clear even at very close range. Capture fine details with unprecedented clarity.
Great choice...Loving it....Love the bokeh....It does very well indoors, hardly weighs anything at all, and it does not knock stuff off the table every time I turn around when I am neck strappin' it....40mm is a good all around focal length for street photography where you do not want to be as noticeable with a much longer zoom lens screaming "DSLR" (my other main lens is the 18-135mm)....It's also great to use instead of the larger lenses when you want to take pictures without being overly obstructive and do not require a great deal of zooming.
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Standard Lens: This standard Canon lens offers high-quality image capturing in a small, lightweight lens body, making it a great companion in crowds and public spaces. Its versatile features and easy portability make it especially suited for basic travel, portraits and memento shots.
recommend buying....I really like this product....The bokeh is simply stunning and breathtaking to capture....This lens has to be used stopped down if you want any kind of sharpness....I would recommend this lens for casual shooters who want to start into portrait photography or want to add more of a "depth of field" look to their shots....Not built from the best stuff on earth but a must have if you do not want to get the better built quality at $400.
Sony DT 50mm f/1.8 A-Mount Medium Telephoto Lens: A solid lens for everyday use, this versatile lens helps reduce image blur, discoloration and poor image quality. It features a Smooth Autofocus Motor to record beautiful videos or take stunning stills quickly and silently.
nice lens...Go for it....The lens overall is good and delivers great bokeh if you zoom in....Great for sneaking up on wildlife....or a great alternative to actually walking closer to other things that you would not have to sneak up on if you are just lazy....Because it does have a great zoom length, you may want to think about getting a tripod for the shooting subjects that are real far away (such as the moon)....It has been my personal experience with the Nikon - AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f - 4.5-5.6G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens - Black - Black a great ease of use, crystal clear shots and amazing telephoto clarity of the images I photograph.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 55–300mm f/4.5–5.6G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens: Be ready for almost any shot with this Nikon telephoto zoom lens. Lightweight and versatile, this lens captures crisp images even from a distance, allowing you to take sports photos from the bleachers and extend your reach for landscape and wildlife photography. Vibration reduction technology smooths out images for blur-free panning and still photography.
Fast Lens...Love it!!...Great bokeh and great for even architectural shots....If you do indoor photos or low-light photos, using a prime lens with an aperture range of f/1.8 to f/22 will allow more light into the sensor, so your photos are brighter without using a flash or other light source....But I keep this lens on my camera at all times indoors so I can finally catch those shots of the kids running around being adorable or doing something goofy and not have to worry about flash or overexposed pictures or out of focus pictures because the kit lens was not able to keep up or was not open wide enough to take a good shot....Although it's sharp, remaining so for the most part until it's wide open, it has some distortion and is not as rectalinear - meaning straight lines appear straight - as I'd like, which is to be expected at this price point, and can be corrected in software.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: Whether you're a beginner or professional, you'll love this compact, lightweight lens from Nikon. The normal angle of view captures approximately what the human eye sees, making it a great all-around lens. Plus, the f/1.8 maximum aperture is ideal for creating softly blurred backgrounds and shooting in low light.
Love it....Good one...It shoots awesome portraits with bokeh effect....Ask any SLR shooter, a nifty fifty prime lens has always been in their arsenal from the time they moved up from a kodak (or a smartphone)! Some plastic in this one but it has not let me down....Love the lense, it is everything I had hoped it would be, but due to the ignorance of the Best Buy employees I ended up returning the lense to Best Buy and then purchasing it AGAIN at a camera store....It's an excellent lens for portraiture: f1.8 means you will be able to get shallower DOF that will make your subjects pop... it definitely beats any zoom that is in the market in this regard.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: A perfect everyday lens for any photographer, the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G offers fast autofocusing combined with an integrated lens coating to deliver clear and crisp images. The wide-open aperture is ideal for low-light shooting and creating images with beautiful background blur.
Excellent lens....Awesome lens....Ultra sharp images and milky smooth bokeh!...Some folks think that this lens is too perfect or too technical but I love the uniform sharpness across the width....I have done about a dozen portrait shoots with this lens and it has all the qualities I'd look for in a lens - super sharp, nice out of focus areas, relatively fast focus, natural colors and solid construction....Switched to Sony from Canon and this lens is sharper than all my L glass, and I am using it on the a6000.
Designed for use with most Sony a7-series full-frame cameras with an E-mount, this Sony SEL55F18Z Sonnar FE ZA lens features a Carl Zeiss T-star coating that enables you to achieve clear, detailed shots with minimal ghosting.
Great Len....Supurb lens...Th bokeh is silky smooth....This lens was my dream one , it is expensive but I love it , it give real good quality , however in low light it is risky for blurring the whole photo...The image stabilization help this even further be allowing you to hand hold the camera at shutter speeds that stop the action, but would normally be blurry from camera shake at a focal length of 200 mm....Recently while photographing the Pride Parade in SF, I used the IS setting that allows for panning - tracking with an EF Teleconvert III at f5.6 and was really excited about the results.
Canon EF 70–200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens This telephoto zoom lens is an essential tool for professional photographers and skilled amateurs. The variable focal length makes it useful for photographing a broad range of subjects, and the 2.8 maximum aperture functions well in low-light situations. Snap candid portraits, stop the action at sporting events or compose wedding photos with exceptional blurred backgrounds.
Love it...Sharp lens...Provides excellent bokeh for your subject....The loss of MTF at f - 1.8 is noticeable, especially once you get a feel for how the lens performs at f - 5.6, but in my opinion, the compromise is perfectly acceptable in a portrait context....The only downside is it is noticably heavier than the Nikon 85mm 1.8 and the Nikon looks/feels way better, though, I do like how this lens balances well with my 5D3....It's a great lens if you are using a canon crop censor camera you can get some sharp headshots with this lens...on fullframe you have more depth to field and sharper images then the crop censor...but it's a all around great lens for the price
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens: Get sharp, clear photos with this Canon medium telephoto lens that delivers vibrant color and clarity with fast, quiet focusing. The 85mm focal length draws attention to your subject and transforms the background into a soft blur for professional-quality portraits and impeccably detailed close-up shots.
Insanely good!...Perfect Lens!...Bokeh is nice....This one I think is the perfect walkaround lens and the build quality is decent-- not much different from the kit lens....I get some pretty good pictures with this lens, often better than the kit lens the camera came with, but it does have its limitations....Attached to my NEX-6, this provides a package that is just fun to use, especially with the camera set to A (aperture priority).
With built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, this Sony SEL35F18 35mm prime lens helps you achieve crisp, clear images with your compatible Sony NEX E-mount camera. The 2 motors offer quiet and smooth operation for shooting videos.
Great lense...The best...On top of that the bokeh is great!...With a D810 and this lens, you can lock yourself in the closet after midnight with all the lights out and still get great pictures!...It has a fast focus, performs excellently in low light, and creates a beautiful bokeh effect and makes backgrounds just wash away in a fantastic blur....Although sony lenses are more of the high technology generation, the nikon Af-s 1.4g lens is one comparison that will not disappoint.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G Standard Lens: Suitable for professional and amateur photographers, this is a great lens for travel, events, portraits and general purpose photography. Capture clear images in dim lighting without a flash with the wide-open aperture. Switch seamlessly from automatic to fine manual focusing so you can ensure every detail is spot on.
Amazing lens...Great lens!!...Love the bokeh this lens gives!...I love this lens, it works amazing with portrait shots and video is amazing - I did some interviews and they were beautiful!...Shots with it are always very sharp, and because of the nice wide maximum aperture, it's great for shooting in low light and getting that lustrous bokeh that everyone loves....It provides sharp optics and less chromatic aberration than the 35mm 1.8 and its distortion free (mainly because of its focal length).
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G Medium Telephoto Lens: Transform every portrait into a work of art with a lens that delivers exceptional image quality and rich color saturation even at wide open apertures. Whether you're capturing headshots, wedding photos or nature images, this medium telephoto lens offers all you need for professional results in almost any lighting conditions.
great lens....Love it...Gives off great bokeh and focuses fast....glad I brought it over sigma 60mm which only stops down to f2.8 the bokeh on this lens is great and this is capable of producing some great photos....I love this camera and the lens I am a beginner and my pictures come out in great quality still learning how to work it, but it is worth the money...Personally, I have tried similar lens from sigma, however I found the sony to be much sharper due to OSS (optical steady shot).
Customize your Sony Alpha camera with this Sony prime lens for enhanced picture quality. OSS image stabilization reduces blurring for crisp, clear images, and the direct manual focus switches from autofocus to manual focus effortlessly. Boasting a 50mm focal length, this Sony prime lens lets you zero in on the perfect shot.
Love it...It's ok...The bokeh is very nice....50mm is a good focal length for portraits though, and this lens can focus on something as close as a foot away from the camera so you can get some good closeups....Given everything else was real-time, including finding and putting on hold the product in stock at the nearest store, it seems reasonable to expect that there should be in-company computer communication that is commensurate with comparative network inventory systems....The revised Canon 50mm is a nice improvement from the prior model - with a larger (and more quiet) focus ring and better auto-focus (along with sharp photos and a great price) - this one lens any photographer should not be without.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens: Capture important moments in your life with this standard lens, which works with your compatible Canon DSLR EF-mount camera. A circular aperture with 7 blades helps you add creative background blur.
Precise MF....Great lens....Great lens for bokeh!...absolutely love this lens this lens pictures come out great if you are looking to upgrade it is worth the money to upgrade i love it better then stock lens must buy....absolutely love this lens this lens pictures come out great if you are looking to upgrade it is worth the money to upgrade I love it better then stock lens must buy...Good lens for anyone that wants to portray something really close to the lens, but forget it if you want to take a picture, lets say from feet to head, it's really hard to get, because you have to calculate all the time if the image is getting blurry or not, and it just makes it really tedious.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
