5 stars....Not bad...I like this lens as a general usage, because it can be used for somewhat up-close shots, along with the 250mm zoom, so I do not have to keep switching out lenses at my daughter's ball games so often....But over all I like this lens for a starter lens, but would recommend the combination lens over this one, if you have a choice and the money, but as I said this one came with the bundle.
Snap sharp, vibrant photos at a distance with this Canon EF-S 8546B002 telephoto lens, which features a 55-250mm focal length for flexible zooming and optical image stabilization to reduce the effects of camera shake.
Loving it!...Love it...With an f2.8 you can open it up all the way to do low light shooting, as well as being able to do portrait shooting with a good blur on the back ground....Since these cameras have the cropped sensor, the 50mm lens acts as if it was an 80mm lens, which is good for portrait work, but is too long a lens for using indoors like a birthday party, or in a museum.

Love love love it!...Best purchase I have made...I bought this lens after trying the canon 35mm, but this lense is much meter, well built, and the f1.4 is incredible....My Canon EOS 6D and this 35mm never missed a beat and performed flawlessly in these conditions.

You can not go wrong....But this 3rd generation is truly much better than the 2nd generation....It is a great time to be in the market for wide angle lenses from Canon....You do not use this lens for its out of focus blur, but I love getting close to subjects and have found the bokeh rendering to be a very pleasant surprise when I do.

I got this lense but for how much money you spend (a lot) you dont get much back, sure for a while you can zoom in really far and see things like you have never seen them from a camera before but after a while even that ends up getting messed up... before you get a lense for a camera look around and look for one that is reasonably priced and even if it doesnt zoom quite as far it will probably last longer than this lense.......I would recommend this lens if you are going to use it enough for it to pay for itself....I would recommend this lens if you are going to use it enough for it to pay for itself.
