Great lense....Awesome lens...Very pleased with the wide f-stop breadth....The Nikon - AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f - 3.5-f.6G ED VR II Zoom Lens is a great all around lens and has a range that allows you to keep this lens on your camera all the time without the need for changing to other lenses most of time.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18–200mm f/3.5–5.6G ED VR II Standard Zoom Lens: This powerful and versatile Nikon standard zoom lens is a great one-lens solution for DX-format DSLRs. Its wide angle to telephoto focal range gives photographers a flexible tool to get the shot without having to switch lenses.
so good....good buy...At a really low f-stop you can get great shallow backgrounds!...This is a great lower priced option for the 50mm, if you have the budget, spend the extar money for the f1/4 50mm lens, but this one is excellent for a beginner.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens: Capture important moments in your life with this standard lens, which works with your compatible Canon DSLR EF-mount camera. A circular aperture with 7 blades helps you add creative background blur.
Nice lens...Love it....This 50mm lens' 1.4 f/stop allows you to shoot indoors with low light....I can not use this lens as often wide open as I would like to due to color fringing and other issues associated with wide open shooting, however it is just as good the 1.2L or the 1.8 when stopped down beyond 1.8.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
Love it...great lens....The f stop is little slower then 50mm 1.8 which is in same price range but wider angle to capture more and closer to your objects....Now I can carry this pancake lens in my pocket, and when packing the gear into a small bag use it instead of a camera body cap, while having the camera ready for a surprise opportunity.
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Standard Lens: This standard Canon lens offers high-quality image capturing in a small, lightweight lens body, making it a great companion in crowds and public spaces. Its versatile features and easy portability make it especially suited for basic travel, portraits and memento shots.
Good Lens...Nice lens...with an F stop of 2.8 allows for better night shots as well as good depth of field for portraits....Since these cameras have the cropped sensor, the 50mm lens acts as if it was an 80mm lens, which is good for portrait work, but is too long a lens for using indoors like a birthday party, or in a museum.
Capture stunning images of wide perspectives with this Canon 9522B002 EF-S wide-angle lens that features an aspheric lens element for high image quality from the center to the edges. The circular, 7-blade aperture delivers soft backgrounds.
The best....great item...On a camera with a lesser sensel density such as the 40D, diffraction does not set in until higher f-stops, but you are beginning to lose sharpness from other effects, so I'd still call the sweet spot as f/5.6 (which also provides a fairly extensive depth of field) for shots where detail is the primary consideration....Canon did a great job of packing a lot of glass (nine elements in seven groups) into a decent form factor of 3" diameter by 2.8" long; even with the hood mounted, this lens provides a fraction of the intimidation factor of, for instance, the 70-200mm f - 2.8L.
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens: Get sharp, clear photos with this Canon medium telephoto lens that delivers vibrant color and clarity with fast, quiet focusing. The 85mm focal length draws attention to your subject and transforms the background into a soft blur for professional-quality portraits and impeccably detailed close-up shots.
Great glass....Lovely lens...Have not used it much, but love it is range and F-stop....Read all the amazing reviews on lens and thought this was going to be exceptional, it is very good yet not as sharp focusing on subjects 30 plus feet away

Awesome Lens!...great lens....In a zoom thats Fast FStop....It seems to be well built but I am not a pro but I have a feeling it will last me a long long time.

AF is fast and IS is superb....takes clear photos....While I understand the benefits of the bigger constant F stop, I really want to do more things that I feel will benefit more from the farther reach this lens will provide....It's less than half an inch longer than my Sigma in this state, which is impressive!

Great lens...1.8 is great....If you have the money buy the model that focuses automatically and get the extra .4 on the f-stop....Being a very fast lens, it enables me to take pictures in low light (sport/action photography) that I otherwise would not be able to do.
Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Standard Lens: The wide-open aperture of this versatile Nikon lens allows you to capture photos in most situations without a flash. Whatever you're shooting, you'll get consistently sharp results at dusk, dawn or even in dim indoor lighting. Weighing just 5.5 oz., it makes a convenient carry-around lens for shooting stills and video.
Fun Lens!...Love this!...While the F-stop only opens up to 4.5 at 18mm and 5.6 at 10mm, I didnt not find it to be an issue during most times of the day....I will use the lens for mainly storm chasing but needed to get some pictures of a recent patio upgrade and it was nice to be able to get the entire patio into one frame.

good buy...Good Lens...Offers a nice "Standard" view of your scene, nice fast aperature at wide open (f1.8) and closes all the way down to f/22 (depending on the body and the amount of light, among other things)....Looking forward to learning more, building my cache of equipment and lighting modifiers, but I totally love this lens and have been using it over the kit lens for a while now.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: A perfect everyday lens for any photographer, the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G offers fast autofocusing combined with an integrated lens coating to deliver clear and crisp images. The wide-open aperture is ideal for low-light shooting and creating images with beautiful background blur.
Great one....Great len....It has about the same "great photo quality in low light" as the 50mm, but it also gives me "more room" for a picture as well, I do not have to move in and out of my object so much as the 50mm lens....The benefits of a prime are that it does not sacrifice picture quality in order to allow for zoom capabilities and that it will force you to physically move in order to take the best possible picture.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: Whether you're a beginner or professional, you'll love this compact, lightweight lens from Nikon. The normal angle of view captures approximately what the human eye sees, making it a great all-around lens.
