so good....good buy...This is a great lower priced option for the 50mm, if you have the budget, spend the extar money for the f1/4 50mm lens, but this one is excellent for a beginner....But having this 50mm f/1.8stm lens will open up a whole new world of possibilities and really help you see the potential of what a DSLR camera truly can capture.

good buy...Good Lens...Offers a nice "Standard" view of your scene, nice fast aperature at wide open (f1.8) and closes all the way down to f/22 (depending on the body and the amount of light, among other things)....Looking forward to learning more, building my cache of equipment and lighting modifiers, but I totally love this lens and have been using it over the kit lens for a while now.

Good zoom....very nice...Great for sneaking up on wildlife....or a great alternative to actually walking closer to other things that you would not have to sneak up on if you are just lazy....I am very pleased with the ease of use (it does not require me to know anything more or operate the camera any differently than the standard lens) and the image quality has been great in the limited opportunities I have had to use it to date.

Great one....Great len....It has about the same "great photo quality in low light" as the 50mm, but it also gives me "more room" for a picture as well, I do not have to move in and out of my object so much as the 50mm lens....The benefits of a prime are that it does not sacrifice picture quality in order to allow for zoom capabilities and that it will force you to physically move in order to take the best possible picture.

Great zoom...Nice lens....I would recommend this lens to anyone who is just starting out with photographer who would like to take great distance pictures without breaking your bank....Use the auto focus when you do not want to adjust it yourself, other than that go wild with the other features the camera has to help you take great pictures.
