AWESOME LENS....Love It!...Good first lens for a full frame camera...Zoom ring is a bit too stiff but it is better than being to loose and lens sliding out each time camera is pointing down....Probably nicely useful on crop (DX) cameras with 36-130 equivalent zoom, but I have not personally tried that....Really great for wide shots of architecture and landscapes, and zoomed in nice results of portraits - close-ups - the textures - tones captures can be quite rich actually.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24–85mm f/3.5–4.5G ED VR Standard Zoom Lens: This all-purpose zoom lens is ideal for amateur and professional photographers. The focal length covers a broad range, allowing you to snap stunning travel photos, portraits and close-ups. Tripod detection and vibration reduction help you create the sharpest images possible.
Love it...Sharp lens...Fantastic for the price, especially on a full frame....The loss of MTF at f - 1.8 is noticeable, especially once you get a feel for how the lens performs at f - 5.6, but in my opinion, the compromise is perfectly acceptable in a portrait context....The only downside is it is noticably heavier than the Nikon 85mm 1.8 and the Nikon looks/feels way better, though, I do like how this lens balances well with my 5D3....It's a great lens if you are using a canon crop censor camera you can get some sharp headshots with this lens...on fullframe you have more depth to field and sharper images then the crop censor...but it's a all around great lens for the price
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens: Get sharp, clear photos with this Canon medium telephoto lens that delivers vibrant color and clarity with fast, quiet focusing. The 85mm focal length draws attention to your subject and transforms the background into a soft blur for professional-quality portraits and impeccably detailed close-up shots.
Very good...Great Prime...Seriously, if you have got a Canon EOS camera that is *not* full frame, you should add this lens to your collection....I shoot pics of my family almost exclusively and with kids its hard to get quick shots let alone crisp focus because they are always moving....I have not tested this lens to video yet but considering how quiet and smooth the autofocus is, it would but phenomenal for wide angle videos....I really like this lens because you can get a wide angle view, but you can get closer up to the subject and get a little bit of a macro.
Capture stunning images of wide perspectives with this Canon 9522B002 EF-S wide-angle lens that features an aspheric lens element for high image quality from the center to the edges. The circular, 7-blade aperture delivers soft backgrounds.
Love it....My new found love...great portrait lens for full frame...You just can not beat prime lenses and this one is my favorite!...The images are super clear (especially in bright lights)....BELIEVE the hype...this lens lives up to it and then some.
Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM Telephoto LensWhether photography is your passion or your profession, this lens helps you create high-quality images with superb background blur even in low-light situations. Create photos with stunning clarity and fine details.
A Great Lens...Amazing lens....Best Full frame lens but its a little bit heavy....It is very fast to focus and has the right amount of resistance on the zoom ring so you do not get creep....This lens is awesome, it has become the lens that is on the camera most of the time because of it's "just right" range....I notice no image softness, the color is right on and I am very glad I saved a few hundred dollars on this fantastic lens.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24–70mm f/2.8G ED Standard Zoom Lens: Designed to withstand heavy use, this lens is ideal for professional and skilled amateur photographers. With a focal length that ranges from wide angle to medium telephoto and a 2.8 maximum aperture, this versatile zoom lens is useful in a broad range of settings.
Good buy!...Thank you...I love it because I can capture the full frame of the subject....I was able to take some decent night sky shots using this lens, and was lucky enough to have it for some very clear and pretty Aurora Borealis shots....However that is not really the purpose of any wide angle lens, so as long you adjust the shutter and iso respectfully the f4.5 should not be a problem....Needless to say, I had to return the lens and ended up with the Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 which is a MUCH better video lens that is still decently wide-angle.
With an STM (stepping motor) and focus mechanism, this Canon EF-S 9519B002 zoom lens allows you to record ultrasharp videos or capture crisp photos using your compatible Canon camera. The UD lens element helps you take highly realistic images.
Love it...It's ok...I use it with a Full Frame Canon 6D....50mm is a good focal length for portraits though, and this lens can focus on something as close as a foot away from the camera so you can get some good closeups....Given everything else was real-time, including finding and putting on hold the product in stock at the nearest store, it seems reasonable to expect that there should be in-company computer communication that is commensurate with comparative network inventory systems....The revised Canon 50mm is a nice improvement from the prior model - with a larger (and more quiet) focus ring and better auto-focus (along with sharp photos and a great price) - this one lens any photographer should not be without.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens: Capture important moments in your life with this standard lens, which works with your compatible Canon DSLR EF-mount camera. A circular aperture with 7 blades helps you add creative background blur.
Great lense...The best...I need a 50mm lens on my full frame camera and this is just the lens I was looking for....With a D810 and this lens, you can lock yourself in the closet after midnight with all the lights out and still get great pictures!...It has a fast focus, performs excellently in low light, and creates a beautiful bokeh effect and makes backgrounds just wash away in a fantastic blur....Although sony lenses are more of the high technology generation, the nikon Af-s 1.4g lens is one comparison that will not disappoint.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G Standard Lens: Suitable for professional and amateur photographers, this is a great lens for travel, events, portraits and general purpose photography. Capture clear images in dim lighting without a flash with the wide-open aperture. Switch seamlessly from automatic to fine manual focusing so you can ensure every detail is spot on.
Works great....Great L lens...As an airline pilot/photog weight is important...So I have been looking for a great wide angle to use since I have switched to full frame....Only had it for a month or so so can not really talk about durability but it handles and feels as well built as many of my other exceptional canon lenses....I am a professional working photographer in the music industry shooting concerts and would recommend this lens!...I am switching from point & shot to DSLR and I like this lense so much that it's now my everyday lense.
Canon EF 16–35mm f/2.8L II USM Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens Whether you're a photojournalist, a wedding photographer or highly-skilled amateur, this ultra-wide-angle zoom lens can help you capture compelling images. Fast and quiet with a 2.8 maximum aperture, this lens is ideal for shooting in low-light situations.
Great lens!...Awsome lens !...Remember that if you have a camera with a DX format sensor, this lens will "behave" as a 75mm mounted on a Full Frame sensor body....It's a very light, sharp and cheap prime (no zoom, except with your feet# lens which should be in most Nikonian's bags....Also, this dates from the film days and not the high reflectivity digital image sensors, so if you stop it down to about f - 2.8 you get horrendous veiling and aperture-shaped reflections from the sensor if you have light sources striking the front element on a digital body....The 50mm focal length is perfect for smaller areas and is great for portraits providing a close working distance without distorting the nose or facial features.
Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Standard Lens: The wide-open aperture of this versatile Nikon lens allows you to capture photos in most situations without a flash. Whatever you're shooting, you'll get consistently sharp results at dusk, dawn or even in dim indoor lighting. Weighing just 5.5 oz., it makes a convenient carry-around lens for shooting stills and video.
Amazing lens...Great lens!!...85mm looks great on a full frame camera....I love this lens, it works amazing with portrait shots and video is amazing - I did some interviews and they were beautiful!...Shots with it are always very sharp, and because of the nice wide maximum aperture, it's great for shooting in low light and getting that lustrous bokeh that everyone loves....It provides sharp optics and less chromatic aberration than the 35mm 1.8 and its distortion free (mainly because of its focal length).
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G Medium Telephoto Lens: Transform every portrait into a work of art with a lens that delivers exceptional image quality and rich color saturation even at wide open apertures. Whether you're capturing headshots, wedding photos or nature images, this medium telephoto lens offers all you need for professional results in almost any lighting conditions.
Great choice...Loving it....A 40mm on a full frame camera is an ideal lens combination for me....It does very well indoors, hardly weighs anything at all, and it does not knock stuff off the table every time I turn around when I am neck strappin' it....40mm is a good all around focal length for street photography where you do not want to be as noticeable with a much longer zoom lens screaming "DSLR" (my other main lens is the 18-135mm)....It's also great to use instead of the larger lenses when you want to take pictures without being overly obstructive and do not require a great deal of zooming.
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Standard Lens: This standard Canon lens offers high-quality image capturing in a small, lightweight lens body, making it a great companion in crowds and public spaces. Its versatile features and easy portability make it especially suited for basic travel, portraits and memento shots.
Very sharp....Always a plus....Great lens for a full frame camera....It worked great and I would recommend this lense to anyone taking that type of photos....This lens is fantastic for Landscape and Interiors, Its Image Stabilization works very good....I would recommend this lens, but depending on what type of photography you'd be doing.
With a dust- and water-resistant design, this Canon L-Series 9518B002 zoom lens lets you capture stunning shots in a wide range of conditions using your compatible Canon EOS SLR camera. The optical image stabilizer enables you to take blur-free images.
Great Glass....Very nice lens....Good wide angle for full frame cameras...You will get relatively the same effective focal lengths with the stock EF-S 18-55mm f - 3.5-5.6, which is MUCH cheaper (and probably came with your camera)....definitely suggest this for most everyday use... i have since upgraded to the 16-35 to get a 2.8 aperture to shoot astrophotography....You get both in this lens, which I might add is affordable considering its an L Series (professional grade lens)!
Canon EF 17–40mm f/4L USM Ultra-Wide Zoom LensThis ultra-wide angle zoom lens is ideal for capturing mountain vistas, group portraits cityscapes and interiors. Weighing just over a pound, it travels easily, whether you plan to take it on a hike or a trans-Atlantic trip. Experience exceptional color and clarity when you pair this lens with your Canon EOS DSLR camera.
Great pics....Great camera....The best wide lens for non full frame...It has very low distortion for such a wide lens, but is a little bit softer than I had hoped, and has a bit more CA at 10mm than I was expecting....Can not thank Best Buy enough for the great customer service; the staff were great, wonderful hold system (the store I went to did not have the lens, but the associate located it at another store and placed it on hold for me), and an excellent return policy that made me rest easy, should I have purchased the wrong lens, I could return it for full credit....Did not really know how things were going to turn out until I got back and looked at them on the big screen but for the most part there was very little noticeable distortion when in the maximum wide-angle setting.
Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens: Get the whole picture with this ultra-wide zoom lens that allows you to fit more of the shot into the frame without backing away from your subject. This Canon EF-S lens is ideal for architectural photos, landscapes, panoramic views and wide shots in enclosed spaces. The lightweight and compact body is comfortably designed for handheld shooting.
